Sébastien Meunier
Sébastien Meunier is a French fashion designer. He was the creative director of Ann Demeulemeester's label from 2010 until 2020. Biography Sébastien Meunier was born in Versailles in 1974. He graduated from ESMOD, the Paris-based fashion school, in 1997. The next year, he presented his first collection at the in Hyères. The collection, that drew inspiration from fetichism and body transformations, was awarded with the first fashion prize from the jury presided by Martine Sitbon, Hussein Chalayan and Jean Colonna - the later offering him immediately his first position. Sébastien Meunier assisted Jean Colonna until he decided to launch his own menswear label in 1999. Through his eponymous brand, highly autobiographical, Sébastien Meunier would explore for 7 years new fields of masculinity, questioning identities and his own individuality and would eventually become a precursor of the hyper-sexualization of the male body in fashion. Hussein Chalayan
Hussein Chalayan, (; tr, Hüseyin Çağlayan ; born 12 August 1970) is a British-Cypriot fashion designer. He has won the British Designer of the Year twice (in 1999 and 2000) and was awarded the MBE in 2006. Chalayan is currently teaching at HTW Berlin. Early life and education Hussein Chalayan was born in Nicosia in 1970 and graduated from the Türk Maarif Koleji secondary school in his hometown. At that time the population of the island was divided because of the constant struggles between the Greek and Turkish authorities. Ethnic conflicts between the Turkish and Greek Cypriot communities eventually led to the Turkish invasion of Cyprus and led to human right abuses towards civilians on both sides. Martine Sitbon is a French fashion designer. Biography After spending her childhood in Morocco and a short stay at the Lycée Chateaubriand in Rome (Chateaubriand High School in Rome), the young Martine Sitbon returned to Paris in the early 1960s with her family. In the early 1970s, Sitbon entered the Studio Berçot in Paris where she studied until 1974. Her appeal for traveling made her work as a freelance designer for various fashion houses around the world. She designed collections in India and Hong-Kong from 1976 to 1980. In the early 1980s until 1985, Sitbon mainly worked between New York and Paris.
