It is a large, near-symmetric pyramidal peak in the extended Monte Rosa area of the Pennine Alps, whose summit is high, making it one of the highest summits in the Alps and Europe.Considering summits with at least 300 metres prominence, it is the 6th highest in the Alps and Europe outside the Caucasus Mountains. Zermatt () is a municipality in the district of Visp in the German-speaking section of the canton of Valais in Switzerland. Didier Moret
Didier Moret (born 25 April 1975) is a Swiss ski mountaineer. Moret was born in Riaz. He started ski mountaineering in 1996 and competed first in the Trophée de Plain Névé race on the Grand Muveran in the same year. He has been member of the national team since 2003 and enjoys also mountain biking and cross-country skiing. Moret studied microtechnology at the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.
