São Paulo Revolt Of 1924 In The Interior
The interior of São Paulo was the scene of the São Paulo Revolt of 1924 from July, parallel to the Urban combat in the São Paulo Revolt of 1924, battle for the city of São Paulo, until August and September, when the rebels left the capital and headed for the state border, first to the Mato Grosso do Sul, south of Mato Grosso and then to Paraná (state), Paraná. There is record of revolt in 87 List of municipalities in São Paulo, municipalities and support for the revolt in another 32. Local political factions joined one side or the other in the conflict, the impact of which was felt even in municipalities never traversed by the revolutionary army. Municipal political leaders were aligned with the Republican Party of São Paulo and tended to be against the revolt, even mobilizing their voters in Patriotic Battalions, patriotic battalions to defend the cause of the São Paulo (state), state and Federal government of Brazil, federal governments. Municípios Na Revolta Paulista De 1924
' (, ) and ' () are country subdivisions in Italy and several Hispanophone and Lusophone nations, respectively. They are often translated as "municipality". In the English language, a municipality often is defined as relating to a single city or town; however, in Spanish, the term "municipio" may not mean a single city or town, but rather a jurisdiction housing several towns and cities, like a township, county, borough or Parish (administrative division), civil parish. The Italian term "municipalità" refers either to a single city or a group of cities and towns in a township, but Portuguese usage of the term is almost entirely restricted to a cluster of cities or towns like in a county, township and so forth. However, in Brazil, a Municipio is an independent city & a public corporporation with status of Federated Entity.
