Országos Bajnokság I ( en, Nationwide Championship I, commonly abbreviated OB I) is the highest level water polo league for men in Hungary, that is administered and supervised by the Hungarian Water Polo Federation. Since 2009, after signed a four-year sponsorship contract with telecommunications company Vodafone, the competition is officially known as Vodafone OB I. Tamás Molnár
Tamás Molnár (born August 2, 1975) is a Hungarian former water polo player, who played on the gold medal squads at the 2000 Summer Olympics, 2004 Summer Olympics and 2008 Summer Olympics. He is one of ten male athletes who won three Olympic gold medals in water polo. He made his debut for the national team in 1997, and was named ''Hungarian Water Polo Player of the Year'' in 1998. He won the Malta Waterpolo Summer League title with Neptunes Emirates (St. Julians, MALTA) in 2010-14. With this he earned a national record of winning 5 leagues in succession for the club previously unachieved by any other team, making him one of the most successful foreign players for the club as well as to play in the country in the sports local history. 2012–13 LEN Champions League
The 2012–13 LEN Champions League was the 50th edition of LEN's premier competition for men's water polo clubs. It ran from 14 September 2012 to 1 June 2013, and it was contested by thirty teams from eighteen countries. There was no defending champion as Pro Recco renounced to the competition for disagreements with the FIN on the number of allowed foreign players in the Italian clubs' squads. Runner-up Primorje Rijeka, former champions Mladost Zagreb and Vasas Budapest, Italy's CN Posillipo and any team from Montenegro also declined to take part in the competition. 2011–12 LEN Champions League
The 2011–12 LEN Champions League is the 49th edition of the Europe men's premier water polo competition. This also would become the first season with the new name of the LEN Champions League with the former name being called the Euroleague which had been the name of the competition since 2003. 29 teams competed in the edition with three quarters of those playing in qualifying as they joined the eight teams in the group stage. From there, the top two teams of each group qualified to the knockout stage with the final four round being played in Oradea. In the final, Pro Recco from Italy took out their seventh title defeating Croatian club, VK Primorje 11–8. Third place was fellow Croatian club HAVK Mladost who defeated Vasas SC from Hungary in the bronze medal playoff. LEN Champions League
The LEN Champions League is the top-tier European professional water polo club competition with teams from up to 18 countries. It is organized by the Ligue Européenne de Natation. The competition started in 1963 as European Cup. A change of name and format occurred in 1996, with the competition being renamed Champions League and the final four system being established as the format of choice, for the first time during the 1996–97 LEN Champions League. From 2003 to 2011 the competition was named LEN Euroleague (with the change of name being simply a re-branding) and from 2011 and on LEN Champions League, its current name.
