''Systematik Ruin'' is an EP by Mentallo & The Fixer, released on January 12, 1999 by Metropolis Records. It contained remixes and previously unreleased songs from the ''Algorythum'' recording sessions. It represented the band's first album without founding member Dwayne Dassing, who left the band in 1998. Reception AllMusic gave ''Systematik Ruin'' two and a half out of five possible stars. Mentallo & The Fixer
Mentallo and the Fixer (sometimes written as Mentallo & the Fixer) is the project name used by Texan electro-industrial musicians Gary Dassing (Mentallo) and Dwayne Dassing (The Fixer) from 1988 to 1999, and by Gary Dassing alone from 1999 to the present day. The band has several releases on the American record label, Metropolis Records. They are named after two Marvel Comics characters. Biography The Dassing brothers first began experimenting with music by the means of more traditional rock music instruments, such as guitar and drums. However, by the time the two formed their first band Benestrophe with vocalist Richard Mendez, the instruments of choice became synthesizers and samplers. Most of the two tapes worth of material they recorded subsequently became available as the releases ''Sensory Deprivation'' and ''Auric Fires'' on Ras Dva Records. Mentallo (Marvin Flumm) is a fictional supervillain, a mutant appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. After having been fired for cause after attempting a covert S.H.I.E.L.D. takeover, he has since operated as both a freelance criminal and subversive, and a high-ranking agent of HYDRA. Sound Recording And Reproduction
Sound recording and reproduction is the electrical, mechanical, electronic, or digital inscription and re-creation of sound waves, such as spoken voice, singing, instrumental music, or sound effects. The two main classes of sound recording technology are analog recording and digital recording. Sound recording is the transcription of invisible vibrations in air onto a storage medium such as a phonograph disc.
