Syracuse Orange Men's Soccer
Syracuse Orange is the NCAA college soccer team for Syracuse University in Syracuse, New York. They are a Division I team in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Syracuse fielded its first varsity soccer team in 1920. The program rose to national prominence early in its history, being recognized by the Intercollegiate Soccer Football Association as national champions for 1936. Syracuse competed with the other northeastern soccer programs as an independent until 1979. The University was a founding member of the Big East Conference in 1979 and the Orange broke new ground in 1982 when they finished with a record of 17-3-2 and won the inaugural BIG EAST Tournament by beating Boston College in the final. On July 1, 2013, Syracuse joined the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). 2015 ACC Men's Soccer Tournament
The 2015 Atlantic Coast Conference men's soccer tournament is the 29th edition of the ACC Men's Soccer Tournament. The tournament decides the Atlantic Coast Conference champion and guaranteed representative into the 2015 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. Paul Young (footballer, Born 1968)
Paul Young (born 11 April 1968 in Saint Catherine Parish, Jamaica) is a retired Jamaican soccer forward who played two seasons in Major League Soccer and several in the USISL and USL A-League. He also coached Portmore United, Waterhouse F.C. and August Town F.C. in the Jamaica National Premier League. Player Youth Young attended Wolmer's Boys' School (High) where he excelled in football and academics. Young attended Syracuse University where he played soccer from 1990 to 1992. During his three seasons with the Orange Men, he scored 32 goals and was named as a 1992 second team All American. The Colorado Rapids are an American professional soccer club based in the Denver metropolitan area. The Rapids compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member of the Western Conference. Founded in 1995, as part of the Anschutz Corporation, later to be a founding sports franchise of the global sports & entertainment juggernaut AEG, the club is a founding member of MLS, playing their first season in 1996. Eric Puls
Eric Puls (born July 4, 1971 in St. Louis, Missouri) is a retired American soccer midfielder who played two seasons in the German third division and nine in the USISL. He was the head coach of the Reading Rage in 2001 and 2002. Youth Puls grew up in St. Louis, Missouri where he was a member of the 1988 Christian Brothers College High School Missouri State championship soccer team. That year, he was also selected as an All State soccer player. He then attended Syracuse University, playing on the men’s soccer team from 1989 to 1992. Puls holds the all-time record for most points as a freshman. In addition to his school teams, Puls also played club soccer with the Busch Soccer Club until his graduation from High School. MLS All-Star Game
The Major League Soccer All-Star Game is an annual soccer game held by Major League Soccer featuring selected players from the league against an international club or selected players from Liga MX. MLS initially adopted a traditional all-star game format used by other North American sports leagues where the Eastern Conference squared off against the Western Conference. This eventually evolved into the current system where the league annually invites a club from abroad to play against a league all-star team in a friendly match. The MLS All-Stars hold a 9–7 record in the competition marking the season's midpoint. Players are awarded roster spots through a combination of fan voting and selections by the appointed manager and league commissioner. 2012 Big East Conference Men's Soccer Tournament
The 2012 Big East men's soccer tournament was the 17th edition of the tournament, and the last to be organized by the original Big East Conference. The event decided the Big East Conference champion and guaranteed representative into the 2012 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship. Held from October 31–November 11, it was the first men's college soccer conference tournament to begin in the 2012 season. The semifinal and championship rounds were held for the third-consecutive year at Red Bull Arena, in Harrison, New Jersey. St. John's were the defending champions, having defeated Connecticut 1–0 in the 2011 championship. By the end of the 2012–13 school year, the Big East split into two leagues along football lines.
