The God Machine (album)
''The God Machine'' is the twelfth studio album by German power metal band Blind Guardian, released on 2 September 2022 through Nuclear Blast. This is the band's first regular studio album in seven years, following ''Beyond the Red Mirror'' (2015), marking the longest gap between two Blind Guardian studio albums (although a previous album was released three years earlier under the name "Blind Guardian Twilight Orchestra"). Background and recording Production of ''The God Machine'' took place throughout the global COVID-19 pandemic; however some of the songs were written before 2020. Frontman Hansi Kürsch feared unforeseeable individual and social consequential damage from the pandemic. "For us, however, it was good from a creative point of view because we were able to take our time. We could think: What do we actually want? It has to represent us and it has to represent the time", Kürsch confirms the influence. "For me it could have been even a bit heavier. During the pre-produ ...

Legacy Of The Dark Lands
''Legacy of the Dark Lands'' is the eleventh studio album by the German power metal band Blind Guardian, released on 8 November 2019 through Nuclear Blast. It marks a departure from all previous works, as the only instruments performed are those of the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, with singer Hansi Kürsch being the only member of the band to perform on the album; due to this, the album is credited to the "Blind Guardian Twilight Orchestra" instead of Blind Guardian. A project worked on by Kürsch and André Olbrich since 1996, it is a concept album set in the 17th century during the Thirty Years' War, and based on the character of Solomon Kane created by Robert E. Howard in 1928; in ''Legacy of the Dark Lands'', Kane's daughter, Aenlin, is looking for her father's legacy in the Habsburg Empire. A tie-in prequel novel, titled ''The Dark Lands'' and written by Markus Heitz, was published on 1 March 2019. Due to the limited performing line-up, this is Blind Guardian's fi ...

A concept album and a sequel to ''Imaginations from the Other Side'', ''Beyond the Red Mirror'' has been described by singer Hansi Kürsch as "a story between science fiction and fantasy. ..The two worlds described have changed dramatically for the worse since then. It is their first album without former session member Oliver Holzwarth on bass guitar since 1995's ''Imaginations from the Other Side'', with Barend Courbois replacing him. " Twilight of the Gods" was released as a single to promote this album. Critical reception ''Beyond the Red Mirror'' has received positive reviews. Ray Van Horn Jr. of Blabbermouth.net, who gave the album a rating of nine-and-a-half out of ten stated, "Previewi ...

A Night At The Opera (Blind Guardian Album)
''A Night at the Opera'' is the seventh studio album by the German power metal band Blind Guardian, released in 2002. It is named after the 1975 Queen album of the same name, which is itself named after the Marx brothers film of the same name. This album continues a stylistic change from power metal into a more progressive sound, with multiple overlaid vocals, choirs, orchestral keys and guitar leads and less emphasis on powerful guitar riffs and heavy rhythms. As a result, drummer Thomen Stauch would leave the group, citing dissatisfaction with the direction the group was going in. Album content There are seven different studio versions and two official live versions of "Harvest of Sorrow" – two in English, two in Spanish ("Mies Del Dolor", "La Cosecha Del Dolor"), one in Italian ("Frutto Del Buio"), one in French ("Moisson de Peine"), and one in a mix of all of the versions except the English acoustic and Italian (also called "Harvest of the World"). The song "Battlefie ...
