''Oi Symmathites'' (often referred to as ''Symmathites'', English language, Εnglish: ''The Classmates'' or ''Classmates'') is a Television in Greece, Greek television soap opera created by Vicky Alexopoulou and Yorgos Feidas for ANT1. It premiered on October 28, 2014 and concluded on July 28, 2017. Set in Athens, Athens, Greece, the show centers upon the life of some classmates 18 years after their graduation and how their lives continue after that. Production Development In 2014, ANT1 was on the hunt to create a new prime time soap opera for its 2014/2015-season. After different proposals they decided to buy the television rights of the Argentine telenovela ''Graduados'', broadcast by Telefe, adapting the project on its greek edition. As the main director of the show was announced Vasilis Thomopoulos, who stopped his long-running collaboration with Mega Channel, and Vicky Alexopoulou as the head writer of the series. Pavlos Haikalis (also Chaikalis; el, Παύλος Χαϊκάλης) is a Greek actor and politician. Biography Pavlos Haikalis was born in Katakolo, Elis, on 30 October 1959. He, and his older brother Thanasis Haikalis (1948-2022), was raised by his mother Nikoleta because by the time Pavlos Haikalis was 10-year-old his father Giorgos Haikalis, who was a travel agent, passed away. After two years they started the health problems of his mother, he and his brother began working at variety of odd jobs for livelihood. ''Graduados'' ( en, link=no, The Graduates) is a 2012 Argentine telenovela that was broadcast by Telefe from March 12 to December 19. The plot concerns a group of people who graduated from high school in 1989 and reunite twenty years later. The main character, Andrés Goddzer (Daniel Hendler), discovers that María Laura Falsini (Nancy Dupláa) was pregnant in 1989 and married Pablo Catáneo (Luciano Cáceres), who thought that he was the child's father. The resulting parental dispute, the love triangle of the main characters and 1980s nostalgia are frequent plot elements, and story arcs related to school bullying and LGBT rights are also featured.
