Sylvio De Lellis
Silvio de Lellis, recorded as Sylvio de Lellis in Canadian sources (born in 1923 in Rome, Italy - died in 1998 in Rome) was an Italian luthier. He was the second son of Baron de Lellis, a descendant of the family which gave birth to St Camillus de Lellis, in the 16th century. Silvio de Lellis apprenticed as a violin maker and was destined to take over a piano factory belonging to the family in Czechoslovakia, which the Communist take-over prevented. He had to practice his craft for a living afterwards. In 1949 he took first prize at the ''Concorso Internazionale di Liuteria'' in Cremona. Sylvio Lazzari
Sylvio Lazzari (born Josef Fortunat Silvester Lazzari; 30 December 1857 – 10 June 1944) was a French composer of Austrian and italian origin. Life Born in Bolzano – then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire – , Lazzari came to Paris in 1882 after studying law in Austria. At the Paris Conservatory, he studied under Ernest Guiraud and César Franck. Encouraged by Ernest Chausson and Franck, Lazzari settled permanently in France and obtained French citizenship in 1896. He held several official positions in Paris, including president of the Wagner Society (from 1894) and choirmaster at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo. Because of dwindling eyesight, he later focused on composition only. Lazzari's use of cyclic structures was indebted to Franck; he was also heavily influenced by Wagner (especially in his operas) and the impressionists. Sylvio Mantha
Joseph Sylvio Theobald Mantha (April 14, 1902 – August 7, 1974) was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman who played fourteen seasons in the National Hockey League for the Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins. Elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1960, he was regarded as one of the best two-way defencemen of his day. Amateur career Mantha started as a right winger for the Notre Dame de Grace Juniors in 1919, before playing for Verdun in the Intermediate Mount Royal Hockey League, and Imperial Tobacco and Northern Electric in the Montreal industrial league. He played briefly for the Montreal Nationales in the Quebec league. After scoring four goals in nine games with the Nationales, he was signed by the Montreal Canadiens in December of 1923. Sylvio Pirillo (or Sílvio Pirillo) (27 July 1916 in Porto Alegre – 22 April 1991 in Porto Alegre) was a Brazilian football striker. Pirillo's first professional club was Sport Club Americano. His good performances granted him moves to Internacional and then Peñarol.
