Syedpur Airport (Bengali: সৈয়দপুর বিমানবন্দর '' Saiẏadapur bimānabandar'') is a domestic airport located in Syedpur, Nilphamari, Bangladesh. Syedpur is a city of Nilphamari district in Rangpur division, and Syedpur Airport is the northernmost airport in country. The city was established based on the Syedpur railway Workshop established in 1870 by the British Colonial regime, which was the major railway workshop for Assam-Bengal railway, Syedpur gradually became an important communication hub for adjoining major district headquarters. The city is the commercial hub for the surrounding districts. Syedpur is one of the most important economic zones in Bangladesh. Cox's Bazar International Airport is an under-construction international airport in the resort town of Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. The airport services both local residents of Cox's Bazar as well as tourists to the region. In November 2020, Biman Bangladesh Airlines started flight between Sylhet to Cox's Bazar, which was in a first, a direct flight between two cities without any connecting flight from Dhaka. US-Bangla Airlines Flight 211 was a scheduled international passenger flight from Dhaka, Bangladesh, to Kathmandu, Nepal, that crashed on 12 March 2018 while landing, killing 51 of the 71 people aboard. The aircraft, a 76-seat Bombardier Q400 operated by US-Bangla Airlines, burst into flames after the crash, and the 20 surviving passengers were seriously injured from the impact and the fire. At the time of the accident, it was the deadliest aviation disaster involving a Bangladeshi airline, and the deadliest incident involving the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400. Bhadrapur Airport , also known as Chandragadhi Airport, is a domestic airport located in Bhadrapur, primarily serving Jhapa and Ilam districts in Province No. 1, Nepal.
