Syed Nazeer Niazi
Syed Nazeer Niazi was an eminent Muslim scholar, professor and journalist. He was one of the leading activists of the Pakistan movement. He was James Boswell of Allama Iqbal. His biography of Iqbal, Iqbal kay Hazoor, and Maktoobat-e-Iqbal Banaam Nazir Niazi are basic sources for the study of Iqbal. During the last two years of Iqbal's life, he regularly visited him and recorded his conversation in his book "Iqbal Kai Hazoor". He completed this conversation in three volumes, but unfortunately the last two volumes were destroyed. Only first volume was published. James Boswell
James Boswell, 9th Laird of Auchinleck (; 29 October 1740 (New Style, N.S.) – 19 May 1795), was a Scottish biographer, diarist, and lawyer, born in Edinburgh. He is best known for his biography of his friend and older contemporary the English writer Samuel Johnson, which is commonly said to be the greatest biography written in the English language. A great mass of Boswell's diaries, letters and private papers were recovered from the 1920s to the 1950s, and their ongoing publication by Yale University has transformed his reputation. Early life Boswell was born in Blair's Land on the east side of Parliament Close behind St Giles' Cathedral in Edinburgh on 29 October 1740 (New Style, N.S.). Javed Iqbal (judge, Born 1924)
Senior Justice Javed Iqbal (Urdu: ; 5 October 1924 – 3 October 2015) was a Pakistani philosopher and senior justice of the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He was internationally known for his acclaimed publications on philosophy of law and modern Islamic philosophy in international and national journals. He was the son of the poet-philosopher Muhammad Iqbal, who inspired the Pakistan Movement. Javed authored various books on Pakistan's nationalism movement and political ideology. Apart from philosophy, Javed had a prolific career in the Judiciary of Pakistan and was a former Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court before being elevated to the Supreme Court. ''Tolu-e-Islam'' is a historical, political, religious, cultural magazine of Muslims of British India and Pakistan. In 1935, according to the instructions of Sir Muhammad Iqbal, Syed Nazeer Niazi initiated and edited a journal named after "Tulu'i Islam", a poem by Iqbal. Niazi also dedicated the first edition of this journal to him. For a long time Iqbal had wanted a journal to propagate his ideas and the aims and objective of the All-India Muslim League. ''Tolu-e-Islam'' ( en, Resurgence of Islam), also known as ''Bazm-e-Tolu-e-Islam'', is an organization which focuses on understanding the Quran via logic, empiricism, and the appropriate application of the rules of Classical Arabic.
