Syed Akbar Jaipuri
Syed Muhammad Akbar Jaipuri Al-Hussaini (23 October 1928 – 4 March 1998) was a Kashmiri Urdu poet and visionary. He was also known as Mujahid-e-Urdu and Mir Taqi Mir Sani. Pen name His original '' Takhallus'' ( pen-name) was "Akbar", drawn from his given name, Muhammad Akbar. Life and education Syed Mohammad Akbar Jaipuri was born on 23 October 1928 in Jaipur to Syed Ali Al-Hussaini, a Muslim religious scholar who belonged to Al-Hussaini Al-Hamadani family of Kashmir, which descended from saint and mystic, Mir Sayyed Ali Hamadani. In 1943, amidst rising communal tension in India, Syed Ali Al-Hussaini was murdered which forced his family to return to their native place Kashmir. Death Syed Akbar Jaipuri died on 4 March 1998. Takhallus
A takhallus ( ur, , fa, تخلّص, hi, तख़ल्लुस), is a pen-name. Pen names were widely adopted by Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi and Persian poets. ''Takhallus'' is an Arabic word which means, literally, "to get liberated" or "become secure;" the word has been borrowed in Hindi-Urdu and Punjabi to mean "pen name". The takhallus is often included in the maqta, last sher (couplet), of the ghazal. History While ghazal originated in Arabia evolving from Qasida, some of the common features of contemporary ghazal, such as including the takhallus in the maqta, the concept of matla, etc., did not exist in Arabic ghazal. Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani
Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani ( fa, میر سید علی همدانی; CE) was a Persian scholar, poet and a Sufi Muslim saint of the Kubrawiya order. He was born in Hamadan, Iran and preached Islam in Central Asia and Kashmir as he travelled to practice Sufism. He died in Kashmir and was buried in Khatlan, Tajikistan in 1384 CE, aged 71–72. Hamadani was also addressed honorifically throughout his life as the ''Shāh-e-Hamadān'' ("King of Hamadan"), ''Amīr-i Kabīr'' ("the Great Commander"), and ''Ali Sani'' ("second Ali"). Early life The title "Sayyid" indicates that he was a descendant of the Islamic prophet Muhammad, possibly from both sides of his family. Hamadani spent his early years under the tutelage of Ala ud-Daula Simnani, a famous Kubrawiya saint from Semnan, Iran.
