Syarhey Sasnowski
Sergey Anatolyevich Sosnovski ( be, Сяргей Сасноўскі (Syarhey Sasnowski); russian: Серге́й Сосновский; born 14 August 1981) is a Belarusian football coach and former player ( defender). Club career Sosnovski was born in Minsk and signed his first professional contract with local club Traktor Minsk. He played an important role in BATE Borisov's 2008–09 Champions League campaign, heading in a goal against Bulgarian Levski Sofia to open the scoring for FC BATE in the return leg of the third qualifying round played on 27 August 2008. The match ended in a 1–1 draw and the team from Barysaw became the first Belarusian club to reach the group stages of the Champions League. On 27 August 2009, Sosnovski scored two goals in a 4–0 win against Litex Lovech, which helped BATE to qualify for the group stage of the UEFA Europa League. The 2010 Belarusian Premier League was the 20th season of top-tier football in Belarus. It started on April 3 and ended on 20 November 2010. BATE Borisov are the defending champions. Belarusian Premier League
The Belarusian Premier League or the Vyšejšaja Liha or the Vysheyshaya Liga ( be, Вышэйшая ліга, russian: Высшая лига, "Top League") is the top division of professional football in Belarus, and is organized by the Belarusian Football Federation. The number of teams in the competition has varied over the years from as high as 17 (1992–93 season) to as low as 11 (2012). As of 2016, the league included 16 teams. Each team plays every other team twice during the course of the season. At the end of the season, the two teams with the fewest points are automatically relegated to the Belarusian First League, while the third worst team plays a promotion-relegation playoff against the third best team from the second tier.
