The Switzerland national women's field hockey team represents Switzerland in international field hockey tournaments for women. They generally compete in the lowest tier of the European championships, the Women's EuroHockey Championship III and have never qualified for the Olympics. European Hockey Federation
The European Hockey Federation is a European sports federation for field hockey, based in Brussels. It is the umbrella organisation for all European national federations, and organises the Euro Hockey League. Marijke Fleuren was elected president on 22 August 2011. In reaction to the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine, the European Hockey Federation banned the participation of all Russian and Belarusian athletes and officials from all events sanctioned by the Federation. 2013 Women's EuroHockey Championship III
The 2013 Women's EuroHockey Championship III was the fifth edition of the Women's EuroHockey Championship III, the third level of the women's European field hockey championships organized by the European Hockey Federation. It was held in Athens, Greece alongside the Men's EuroHockey Championship IV from 21 to 26 July 2013. Wales won its second EuroHockey Championship III title and were promoted to the 2015 EuroHockey Championship II together with the Czech Republic. 2016–17 Women's FIH Hockey World League
The 2016–17 Women's FIH Hockey World League was the third edition of the women's field hockey national team league series and last season of the World League. The tournament started in April 2016 in Singapore and finished in November 2017 in Auckland, New Zealand. The Semifinals of this competition also served as a qualifier for the 2018 Women's Hockey World Cup as the 10/11 highest placed teams apart from the host nation and the five continental champions qualify. The Netherlands won the tournament's Final round for a record second time after defeating host nation New Zealand 3–0 in the final match. South Korea won the third place match by defeating England 1–0. From 2019 onwards, the tournament was replaced by Pro League. The 2019 Women's EuroHockey Championship III was the eight edition of the Women's EuroHockey Championship III, the third tier of the women's European field hockey championships organized by the European Hockey Federation.
