The Swiss Democrats (german: Schweizer Demokraten; french: Démocrates Suisses; it, Democratici Svizzeri; rm, Democrats Svizers) are a nationalist political party in Switzerland. It was called the National Action against the Alienation of the People and the Home (german: Nationale Aktion gegen Überfremdung von Volk und Heimat; ''NA'') until 1977 and the National Action for People and Home (german: Nationale Aktion für Volk und Heimat) until 1990, when it was renamed to its current name. The Federal Assembly (german: Bundesversammlung, french: Assemblée fédérale, it, Assemblea federale, rm, Assamblea federala), also known as the Swiss parliament (''Parlament'', ''Parlement'', ''Parlamento''), is Switzerland's federal legislature. Elections to the Swiss Federal Assembly, the federal parliament of Switzerland, were held on Sunday, 21 October 2007. In a few cantons, a second round of the elections to the Council of States was held on 11 November, 18 November, and 25 November 2007.
