''Swiss Army Bro-Mance'' is a limited edition split EP by American rock bands New Found Glory and Dashboard Confessional. The EP was made available for purchase on February 1, 2010 via Epitaph Records. The tracks were recorded in September 2009 and were initially scheduled to be available at the band's headline shows, which were later cancelled and replaced with an acoustic tour. New Found Glory cover "The Swiss Army Romance" and "Saints and Sailors" in their trademark fast tempo style, while Dashboard Confessional cover the former's "Better Off Dead" and "All About Her" with significantly different electronic versions. New Found Glory
New Found Glory (formerly A New Found Glory) is an American rock band from Coral Springs, Florida, formed in 1997. The band currently consists of Jordan Pundik (lead vocals), Ian Grushka (bass guitar), Chad Gilbert (lead guitar, backing vocals), and Cyrus Bolooki (drums). Longtime rhythm guitarist and lyricist Steve Klein left the band in late 2013. During their lengthy recording career, the band have released ten studio albums, one live album, two EPs, and four cover albums. Chad Everett Gilbert (born March 9, 1981) is an American musician and record producer. He is best known as a founding member of the rock band New Found Glory, for whom he plays lead guitar, sings backing vocals, and composes music. He was also the lead vocalist for the band's now-defunct side-project, International Superheroes of Hardcore. Additionally, Gilbert was the vocalist for the hardcore punk band Shai Hulud between 1995 and 1998, and from 2012 to 2013. Gilbert has produced records, notably H2O's '' Nothing to Prove'' and A Day to Remember's albums, '' Homesick'', ''What Separates Me from You'' and '' Common Courtesy''. ''The Swiss Army Romance'' is the debut studio album by American band Dashboard Confessional, released in March 2000 by Fiddler Records. Release It was released through Fiddler Records in March 2000, limited to 1,000 copies. A decision was made shortly afterwards to sell the album to Drive-Thru Records. Drive-Thru released the album on November 14, 2000. In 2003, the rights to the record were sold to Chris Carrabba and Vagrant Records and the album was re-issued on April 22, 2003. The re-release included bonus tracks "Hold On" and "This Is a Forgery". The re-release was spurred by the rising popularity of the band and the announcement of the then upcoming album ''A Mark, a Mission, a Brand, a Scar''. Acoustic music is music that solely or primarily uses instruments that produce sound through acoustic means, as opposed to electric or electronic means. While all music was once acoustic, the retronym "acoustic music" appeared after the advent of electric instruments, such as the electric guitar, electric violin, electric organ and synthesizer. Acoustic string instrumentations had long been a subset of popular music, particularly in folk.
