Swimming at the 19th Central American and Caribbean Games occurred in November 2002 in San Salvador, El Salvador. The competition consisted of 32 events: 16 for males, 16 for females; with 13 individual and 3 relays each. All were swum in a long course (50m) pool. Javier Díaz (swimmer)
Javier Díaz González (born September 13, 1979) is a Mexican former swimmer, who specialized in freestyle and individual medley events. He is a two-time Olympian (2000 and 2004), and a former Mexican record holder in the 50, 100, and 200 m freestyle. Diaz also attended Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, where he majored in economics, and played for the Purdue Boilermakers. Diaz made his Olympic debut as a 21-year-old native from Mexico at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. He failed to reach the top 16 in any of his individual events, finishing thirtieth in the 200 m freestyle (1:53.30), and thirty-seventh in the 200 m individual medley (2:07.28). Albert Subirats Altes (born September 25, 1986) is an Olympic and national record holding swimmer from Venezuela. He represented his homeland at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Olympics. At the 2007 World Championships, Subirats won Venezuela's first (long course) World Championships medal. Collegiately, he attended the University of Arizona in the United States, where he swam for the Arizona Wildcats swimming and diving team from 2004 to 2007. While at Arizona, he was a 3-time individual NCAA champion, winning the 100 yd fly his junior and senior years (2006, 2007) and the 100 back (2006). Oswaldo Jose Quevedo Boschetti (born August 4, 1976 in Maracay) is a former Butterfly stroke, butterfly and Freestyle swimming, freestyle swimmer from Venezuela, who won the 50m and 100m Butterfly at the 2000 South American Swimming Championships, South American Championships (50m) in Mar del Plata. Kevin Gleason (born 7 April 1987) is an American racing driver currently competing in the TCR International Series. He made his debut in 2015. Racing career Gleason began his career in 2010 in the Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup, ending 6th in the standings.
