He won the 400 m individual medley at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. Career Sydorenko won a gold medal at the 1981 European Aquatics Championships in Split, and at the 1982 World Aquatics Championships in Guayaquil in the 200-metre individual medley. At the 1983 Summer Universiade in Edmonton, he won a silver medal in the 200-metre individual medley. Between 1977 and 1986 he became the USSR champion 20 times. Anthony Robin Le Clerc Mosse (born 29 October 1964 in Hong Kong) is a former New Zealand swimmer who competed at two Summer Olympic Games and three Commonwealth Games. Thomas Harold Ponting (born January 28, 1965) is a Canadian former competitive swimmer who specialized in the butterfly stroke. Ponting competed in three consecutive Summer Olympics for Canada starting with the 1984 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles, California. At every occasion he won a medal with the men's 4 × 100 m medley relay team: two silver and one bronze. At the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) swimming championships in 1989, Ponting broke the world and Canadian records in the 100-metre butterfly, with a time of 52.62 seconds. Robertas Žulpa (born 20 March 1960, in Vilnius) is a former Lithuanian swimmer who competed for the Soviet Union during his professional career. Žulpa trained at VSS ''Žalgiris'' in Vilnius, becoming the Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR in 1980. He won a gold medal in 200 m breaststroke with a time of 2:15.85 at the 1980 Summer Olympics. Peter Maxwell Evans (born 1 August 1961) is an Australian breaststroke swimmer of the 1980s who won four Olympic medals, including a gold in the 4×100 m medley relay at the 1980 Moscow Olympics as part of the Quietly Confident Quartet. He also won consecutive bronze medals in the 100 m breaststroke at the 1980 Olympics and the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. The son of prominent Western Australian businessman and politician Max Evans, Evans had a late start to his swimming career, making his debut at the Australian Championships in his hometown of Perth, aged 17.
