Ellie Campbell
Ellie Campbell is a British singer. She released four singles and an album between 1999 and 2001. Initially winning a GMTV contest to find a new singer, Campbell released her debut single " Sweet Lies" in March 1999, the single reached #42 in the UK Singles Chart. In August 1999, Ellie released her second single "So Many Ways", which became her biggest hit, reaching #26 in the charts. Her third and final European single, " Don't Want You Back", peaked at #50 in January 2001 in the UK. Whilst Campbell was enjoying her chart success, Britney Spears came onto the music scene and the media quickly made comparisons between the two. Her debut album, ''Ellie'', was released in 2001. The album proved to be unsuccessful, it failed to chart in the UK, though it charted at #192 in Australia. Jive Records was an American independent record label founded by Clive Calder in 1981 as a subsidiary to the Zomba Group. In the US, the label had offices in New York City and Chicago. Jive was best known for its successes with hip hop, R&B, and dance acts in the 1980s and 1990s, along with teen pop and boy bands during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Lance Ellington (born 22 June 1957) is an English singer, songwriter and actor. Ellington, the only son of the band leader Ray Ellington, specialises in swing and big ballads. He has worked with many artists including Sting, George Michael, Gloria Gaynor, Michael Jackson and Robbie Williams, and currently makes regular performances on the BBC programme ''Strictly Come Dancing''. Peter Alan Waterman, (born 15 January 1947) is an English record producer, songwriter, radio and club DJ, television presenter, president of Coventry Bears rugby league club and a keen railway enthusiast. As a member of the Stock Aitken Waterman songwriting team, he wrote and produced many hit singles. He is the owner of significant collections of both historic and commercial railway locomotives and rolling stock. Early life Peter Alan Waterman was born in Stoke Heath, Coventry, Warwickshire. The Official Charts (legal name: The Official UK Charts Company Limited) is a British inter-professional organization that compiles various "official" record charts in the United Kingdom, Ireland and France. In the United Kingdom, its charts include ones for singles, albums and films, with the data compiled from a mixture of downloads, purchases (of physical media) and streaming.
