"Sweet Impact" is BoA's 22nd Japanese single. It was released on April 25, 2007 and it hit #5 on the Oricon chart on its first day of release. The song "Sweet Impact" was first featured in Japan's FASIO commercial in January 2007. ''The Face'' is the sixth Japanese studio album (eleventh overall) by South Korean singer BoA. It was released on February 27, 2008. The album was released a week after her single, " Be with You." New Jack Swing
New jack swing, new jack, or swingbeat is a fusion genre of the rhythms and production techniques of hip hop and dance-pop, and the urban contemporary sound of R&B. Spearheaded by producers Teddy Riley and Bernard Belle, new jack swing was most popular from the late-1980s to early-1990s. Its influence, along with hip hop, seeped into pop culture. Merriam-Webster's online dictionary defines new jack swing as "pop music usually performed by black musicians that combines elements of jazz, funk, rap, and rhythm and blues." New jack swing took up the trend of using sampled beats and tunes, and created beats using electronic drum machines such as the then-new SP-1200 sampler and the Roland TR-808 to lay an "insistent beat under light melody lines and clearly enunciated vocals." "Love Letter" is a song by South Korean singer BoA, serving as her 23rd Japanese single. Alongside the title track are two B-sides: "Beautiful Flowers" and "Diamond Heart". The original release date for this single was September 19, 2007, but it was pushed back a week to September 26 after the news of Ayumi Hamasaki's latest single, "Talkin' 2 Myself", was scheduled for release the same week.
