Swedish Grammys
The Grammis are music awards presented annually to musicians and songwriters in Sweden. The oldest Swedish music awards, they were instituted as a local equivalent of the Grammy Awards given in the United States. The awards ceremony is generally held each year in February in Stockholm. The awards were established in 1969 and awarded until 1972 when they were cancelled, then revived in 1987. There are around 20 different award categories, which have changed over the years. Swedish artists and foreign artists who live in Sweden are eligible, as are artists in other countries if their music is produced in Sweden and targets a Swedish audience. The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) is the organisation that represents the interests of the recording industry worldwide. It is a non-profit members' organisation registered in Switzerland and founded in Italy in 1933 by Francesco Braga. It operates a secretariat based in London, with regional offices in Brussels, Hong Kong, Miami, Abu Dhabi, Singapore and Nairobi. Lidingö
Lidingö, also known in its definite form ''Lidingön'' and as ''Lidingölandet'', is an island in the inner Stockholm archipelago, northeast of Stockholm, Sweden. In 2010, the population of the Lidingö urban area on the island was 31,561. It is the seat of government of the Lidingö Municipality, Stockholm County. Lidingö's qualities have attracted affluent residents such as Björn Ulvaeus, Agnetha Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Benny Andersson of ABBA. Exclusive regions include the coastal region between Mölna and the east tip of the island, Gåshaga, as well as the east tip of the northern part of the horse shoe, called Elfvik. Henrik Schyffert
Per Henrik Schyffert (born 23 February 1968) is a Swedish comedian, actor, musician and radio and television personality. Career Schyffert was a VJ for MTV Europe in the late 1980s. In 1992 he hosted the comedy TV show ''I Manegen Med Glenn Killing'', also starring Robert Gustafsson and Johan Rheborg. The program was later turned into a successful stage show. In 1993 he created the radio show ''Hassan'' with Kristian Luuk in Stockholm. The show centered on prank phone calls and off-the-wall comedy sketches. He left Hassan as his career with the "Killing" gang took off, and he and Luuk were replaced by Fredrik Lindström. After the show's cancellation in December 1994, ''Hassan'' became a cult phenomenon, and as of October 2008 seven CDs have been released with material from the show. Avicii Arena, originally known as Stockholm Globe Arena and previously as Ericsson Globe, but commonly referred to in Swedish simply as Globen (; "the Globe"), is an indoor arena located in Stockholm Globe City, Johanneshov district of Stockholm, Sweden. The arena represents the Sun in the Sweden Solar System, the world's largest scale model of the Solar System. Construction Avicii Arena is the largest spherical building on Earth and took two and a half years to build. It has a diameter of and an inner height of . Magnus Uggla
Per Allan Magnus Claësson Uggla (pronounced ; born 18 June 1954) is a Swedish artist, composer, actor, and occasional radio host. He is known for his satire, satirical lyrics. Uggla was born in Stockholm. He was the lead singer of the hard rock band JUSO (later renamed Alexander Lucas) before going solo in the early 1970s. Their influences were Black Sabbath, The Groundhogs and Alice Cooper, among others. Uggla's first two glam rock, glam- and art rock-inspired albums ''Om Bobbo Viking'' and ''Livets teater''ˈ did not sell well, the first only about 500 copies in Sweden and ''Livets teater'' even less. But his departure from glam rock with the punk rock, punk and hard rock inspired ''Va ska man ta livet av sig för när man ändå inte får höra snacket efteråt'' gained him much popularity and the album sold about 150,000 copies. Annexet
The Annexet is one of the venues in Stockholm Globe City, located in Stockholm, Sweden. The venue opened in 1989 and has a capacity of 3,950 people. Events Annexet is mostly used for concerts and ice hockey matches. All shows of Melodifestivalen 2021 were held in the Annexet. Due to restrictions related to the COVID-19 pandemic, no audience was present. In 2021 and 2022, the Swedish Sports Awards were held in the Annexet instead of the usual venue, the Globe Arena, also due to COVID-19 restrictions. TV4 (Sweden)
TV4 (''TV fyra'') is a Swedish free-to-air television network owned by TV4 AB, a subsidiary of the TV4 Media AB. It started broadcasting by satellite in 1990 and, since 1992, on terrestrial television. In 1994, TV4 became the largest channel and remained so for a number of years. The two channels of Sveriges Television (SVT) lost more and more viewers for a couple of years. After making schedule changes in 2001, SVT1 had practically the same numbers of viewers as TV4. From 2004 to 2019, the TV4 Group was a fully active member of the European Broadcasting Union. History TV4 was launched on 15 September 1990. Kungliga Tennishallen
Kungliga tennishallen (English: Royal Tennis Hall) is a tennis venue at Lidingövägen 75 in Stockholm, Sweden. The stadium was built in October 1943 and has a capacity of 5,000. Kungliga tennishallen, now a hard-court surface, remains the venue for the men's Stockholm Open tournament which was first held in 1969. In 1975 the venue was the host of the year-end Masters tennis tournament as well as the Davis Cup final between Sweden and Czechoslovakia.
