''SR3MM'' is the third studio album by American hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd. It was released on May 4, 2018, by Ear Drummer Records and Interscope Records. The triple album also includes the debut solo studio albums by each of the duo, ''Swaecation'' by Swae Lee and ''Jxmtro'' by Slim Jxmmi. The album features guest appearances by Juicy J, Travis Scott, Future, Pharrell, Young Thug, The Weeknd and Zoë Kravitz, among others. Khalif Malik Ibn Shaman Brown (born June 7, 1993), known professionally as Swae Lee, is an American singer and rapper. Known for his wide vocal range and genre-bending, Swae Lee is one half of the hip hop duo Rae Sremmurd with his brother Slim Jxmmi. As a member of Rae Sremmurd, he achieved success with the singles " No Flex Zone", " No Type" and "Black Beatles", the last of which topped the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart. Rae Sremmurd ( ; "Drummers Ear" spelled backwards) is an American hip hop duo originating from Tupelo, Mississippi, formed by two brothers, Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee. In 2013, they signed a record deal with Mike Will Made It's EarDrummers imprint. In January 2015, the duo released their debut album, ''SremmLife'', which was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). "Guatemala" is a song by American singer and rapper Swae Lee in collaboration with his brother and fellow American rapper Slim Jxmmi, the other half of Rae Sremmurd. It was released on April 11, 2018 as the second single from Lee's debut studio album '' Swaecation'' (2018), part of a triple album set of Rae Sremmurd's third studio album ''SR3MM.'' and was produced by Mally Mall, TuneDaRula and Rubin. Composition "Guatemala" is a afrobeats and dancehall-inspired song. It features a "minimal Caribbean-styled backbeat" and "airy synths" in the production. Trap Music
Trap is a subgenre of hip hop music that originated in the Southern United States during the 1990s. The genre gets its name from the Atlanta slang word "trap", a house used exclusively to sell drugs. Trap music uses synthesized drums and is characterized by complex hi-hat patterns, tuned kick drums with a long decay (originally from the Roland TR-808 drum machine), and lyrical content that often focuses on drug use and urban violence. It utilizes very few instruments and focuses almost exclusively on snare drums and double- or triple-timed hi-hats.
