Svetoslav Todorov ( bg, Светослав Тодоров; born 30 August 1978) is a former Bulgarian international footballer. He played as a forward. Todorov is the all-time top scorer for Litex Lovech in the Bulgarian A Football Group. Club career Early career After being part of the youth system since the age of 6, Todorov began his career at Bulgarian First Division club Dobrudzha Dobrich in 1996–97, scoring twice in twelve appearances. He then joined Second Division champions Litex Lovech where he scored 34 goals in 70 league games over four seasons (two of them title winning). He managed a career-high 19 league goals during the 1999/2000 season, being overtaken as the top goalscorer by Mihail Mihaylov on the last match day. Svetoslav Of Croatia
Svetoslav Suronja (), was King of Croatia from 997 to 1000. A member of the Trpimirović dynasty, he reigned with the help of his '' ban'', Varda. John the Deacon (d. 1009) called him "Surinja" ( la, "Surigna"), adopted in Croatian historiography as "Suronja", meaning "dark man" or "cold man", probably due to his temper. He was the oldest son of king Stephen Držislav, from whom he received the title of duke, and was designated as his successor. Rebellion After the death of their father, his brothers Krešimir III and Gojslav started organizing a rebellion against him since Svetoslav rejected sharing power over the kingdom. The brothers had asked Bulgarian emperor Samuil for aid, even though the emperor was at war with the Byzantine Empire. Svetoslav Roerich
Svetoslav Nikolaevich Roerich (russian: Светослáв or Святослáв Никола́евич Рéрих; 23 October 1904 – 30 January 1993) was a Russian painter based in India. He was the son of Helena and Nicholas Roerich, studied from a young age under his father's tutelage. He studied architecture in England in 1919 and entered Columbia University's school of architecture in 1920. He won the Grand Prix of the Sesquicentennial Exposition in Philadelphia in 1926. Biography He lived for many years in India where Jawaharlal Nehru awarded him the International Award and the Padma Bhushan. His paintings of Nehru and Indira Gandhi, adorn the historic Central Parliament Hall in New Delhi. He was married in 1945 to an Indian movie star Devika Rani, who was once married to producer Himanshu Rai and known as "The First Lady of the Indian Screen". Svetoslav Petrov ( bg, Светослав Петров; born 12 February 1978) is a Bulgarian former footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Petrov began his professional career at native club Dobrudzha Dobrich during 1996. In December 1999, he was sold to CSKA Sofia, with whom in 2002-03 season he became a champion of Bulgaria. This was the first of the three league titles to come for CSKA in the 2000s. In 2004, Petrov was sold to Russian side Kuban Krasnodar for €500,000. He earned 32 appearances in the Russian Premier League and scored two goals, before a year later, he returned to Bulgaria, signing with Lokomotiv Sofia. In January 2006 he resided in Azerbaijan and signed with local team Neftchi Baku. Svetoslav Dyakov ( bg, Светослав Дяков; born 31 May 1984) is a Bulgarian professional retired footballer who played as a midfielder. He was the club captain of Ludogorets Razgrad and, between 2015 and 2017, was the captain of the national team as well. Career Born in Blagoevgrad, Dyakov began his football career with a local club, Pirin. In 2005, he signed with Pirin 1922. Svetoslav Konstantinov Minkov ( bg, Светослав Константинов Минков) (12 February 1902 – 22 November 1966) was a Bulgarian absurdist fiction writer. Biography Minkov was born in Radomir in 1902 in a military family. His older brother Asen died in the Second Balkan War, while his other brother Ivan, a member of the Bulgarian Communist Party, committed suicide in 1925 to evade arrest by the oppressive Tsarist authorities. Minkov received his primary education in Radomir, and graduated from a high school in Sofia. His sister Teodora introduced him to the Bulgarian literary circles of the 1920s. He published his first work - ''Newton's binomial'' in the "Bulgaran" magazine in 1920.
