Svend Von Düring
Svend Soot von Düring (7 July 1915 – 7 June 1969) was a Norwegian actor. He was a son of entertainer Botten Soot. He was a great-grandson of Engebret Soot and grandson of Eyolf Soot and Inga Bjørnson. His grandmother's second husband's child was Svend's half-aunt: Guri Stormoen. His mother was married twice. He made his stage debut in 1933 at Søilen Teater. Søilen Teater
Søilen Teater was a theatre that opened in Oslo in 1930. It was managed by Sophus Dahl until 1932. It was then a supporting stage for Chat Noir until 1934. From 1934 to 1939 the theatre was run by Henry Gleditsch, and from 1939 it was run by Aud Ricther. From 1942 it housed Leif Juster's stage Edderkoppen Theatre, and in 1945 it housed Studioteatret. Den Nationale Scene ( en, National Theater) is the largest theatre in Bergen, Norway. Den Nationale Scene is also one of the oldest permanent theatres in Norway. History Opened under the name '' Det Norske Theater'' in 1850, the theatre has roots dating back to its founding on the initiative of the Norwegian violinist Ole Bull. The theatre was created to develop Norwegian playwrights. Trøndelag Teater is a large theater in the city of Trondheim, in Trøndelag county, Norway. Trøndelag Teater stages large-scale dance and musical performances. History Originally built in 1816, the theater is the oldest stage in Scandinavia in continuous use. Chat Noir
Chat Noir ( French for 'black cat') is a cabaret and revue theatre in Oslo, Norway. It was established in 1912 by Bokken Lasson. The current director is Tom Sterri. Establishment Chat Noir was established as a cabaret in 1912 by singer Bokken Lasson and her later husband, writer Vilhelm Dybwad, modelled after the Paris cabaret Le Chat Noir from the 19th century. During a visit to Paris in the early 1890s Bokken Lasson had found the inspiration of her life. She experienced the literary cabarets of the time, and performers such as Yvette Guilbert. The next years she toured European cities, wearing a self-composed costume, singing gypsy songs and playing lute, performing on the street, at restaurants, cabarets and occasionally in musical comedies. Knut Helle
Knut Helle (19 December 1930 – 27 June 2015) was a Norwegian historian. A professor at the University of Bergen from 1973 to 2000, he specialized in the late medieval history of Norway. He has contributed to several large works. Botten Soot (born Ingeborg Bergit Soot; 22 March 1895 – 21 May 1958) was a Norwegian actress, singer, and dancer. Her primary venue was the cabaret and revue theatre Chat Noir, where she performed for most of her career. Early and personal life Born in Bergen, Soot was the daughter of the painter Eyolf Soot (1859–1928) and children's theatre pioneer Inga Bjørnson (1871–1952). Her parents divorced in 1900; her mother married the actor Harald Stormoen when Botten was five years old, and Botten Soot was thus a half-sister of the actress Guri Stormoen. She also gave birth to a child, the actor Svend von Düring. Guri Stormoen (10 September 1901 – 1 November 1974) was a Norwegian actress. She was active both on stage and in film. Biography She was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway as a daughter of actor Harald Stormoen (1872–1937) and his first wife, theatre leader Inga Bjørnson (1871–1952). She was a half-sister of Botten Soot and half-aunt of Svend von Düring through her mother's earlier marriage to Eyolf Soot. Also through her mother, Guri Stormoen was a grandniece of Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson. On her paternal side she was a relative of Hans Stormoen, Kjell Stormoen and Even Stormoen. She took her education in ballet at the National Theatre and in theatre in Denmark. She made her stage debut in 1918 and film debut in 1921 in the movie ''Felix''.
