Sveinung Valle
Sveinung Valle (1959 – 20 March 2016) was a Norwegian farmer and politician for the Labour Party. He was a cattle farmer in Lindås, and joined the Labour Party in 1997. He was an elected member of Lindås municipal council and Hordaland county council, chaired Hordaland Labour Party from 2009 to 2014 and Lindås Labour Party. Hordaland () was a county in Norway, bordering Sogn og Fjordane, Buskerud, Telemark, and Rogaland counties. Hordaland was the third largest county, after Akershus and Oslo, by population. In Norway, a state secretary ( no, statssekretær) is a partisan political position within the executive branch of government. Contrary to the position secretary of state in many other countries, a Norwegian state secretary does not head his or her ministry, rather, they are second in rank to a minister. Resembling a ''de facto'' vice minister, the state secretary, however, cannot attend a Council of State, and does not act as a temporary minister in case of illness or other leave of absence.
