Sushant Marathe
Sushant Marathe (born 16 October 1985) is an Indian domestic cricket player and plays for the Mumbai cricket team. He is a powerful wicketkeeper batsman and came into limelight during the BCCI Corporate Trophy where he played alongside the likes of Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina and Robin Uthappa and single-handedly guided his team Air-India Red to victory in the semi-finals. He was also used as an opening batsman by Mumbai cricket team in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and was the highest scorer for them in the 2009-2010 tournament. Prior to this he captained the Mumbai U-22 team and led them to victory in the 2007-2008 C. K. Nayudu Trophy. He was one of the contracted players for Mumbai Indians in 2010 Indian Premier League but didn't get a chance to showcase his talent given the starpower in the Mumbai lineup. Mumbai Cricket Team
The Mumbai cricket team is a cricket team representing the city of Mumbai in Indian domestic cricket. The team's primary home ground is the Wankhede Stadium in South Mumbai. Secondary home venues include the MCA ground in Bandra Kurla Complex Ground and Brabourne Stadium. The team comes under the West Zone designation. It was formerly known as the Bombay cricket team, but changed when the city was officially renamed from Bombay to Mumbai. Mumbai is the most successful team in the history of Ranji Trophy, India's premier domestic cricket competition, with 41 titles, the most recent being in 2015–16. Kanga League
The Kanga Cricket League (officially the Dr. H. D. Kanga Memorial Cricket League) is a cricket competition in Mumbai, India, inaugurated in 1948. It is named after Hormasji Kanga, who played 43 First class cricket matches as an all-rounder, and was also a selector for the India national cricket team Origins The Kanga League was founded in 1948, and is held in Mumbai between July and October, during the Indian monsoon season. Brabourne Stadium
The Brabourne Stadium is a cricket ground in Mumbai in Western India, built in the British Bombay era. It was the home ground of the Mumbai men's and women's cricket teams. It can accommodate 50,000 people for sports matches. The ground is owned by the Cricket Club of India (CCI). The North Stand of the Brabourne had housed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) headquarters and the 1983 Cricket World Cup trophy until 2006, when both were moved to the newly built ''Cricket Centre'' at the nearby Wankhede Stadium. The Brabourne Stadium hosted Test matches from 1948 to 1972 and it was the venue for Bombay Pentangular matches from 1937 until 1946.
