Susenji Station
is a railway station in Susenji 1-chome, Nishi-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. It is operated by JR Kyushu and is on the Chikuhi Line. Lines The station is served by the Chikuhi Line and is located 8.1 km from the starting point of the line at . Local and weekday rapid services on the Chikuhi Line stop at this station. Station layout The station consists of an island platform serving two tracks. The station building is a wooden structure of western design and houses a waiting area and a staffed ticket window. Access to the opposite side platform is by means of a footbridge and a pair of elevators, one that takes you to the top of the footbridge and another to bring you down to the platform. Nishi-ku, Fukuoka
is one of the seven wards of Fukuoka City, Japan. Meaning literally "west ward," it is bordered to the east by Sawara-ku, and to the west by Itoshima. As of 2003, it has a population of 173,813 people and an area of 83.81 km2. As of 2016, its population had increased to 206,000 people. It has recently gained additional infrastructure in the form of the Nanakuma Line, in addition to the Fukuoka City Subway and the Chikuhi Line. At the time of Fukuoka City's official designation as a City in 1972, Nishi-ku covered an area larger than it does today. Kūkō Line (Fukuoka City Subway)
The is a subway line, part of the Fukuoka City Subway system in Fukuoka, Japan. It connects Meinohama, Nishi Ward to Fukuokakūkō (Fukuoka Airport), Hakata Ward, all within Fukuoka. The line's color on maps is orange. Officially, the line is called . The line has a through service with JR Chikuhi Line. Like other Fukuoka City Subway lines, stations are equipped with automatic platform gates, and trains are automatically operated by ATO system. However, JR train cars (from Chikuhi Line) are operated manually. This is the only subway line in Japan that directly links to an airport.
