Susanne Haworth
Susanne Haworth is a retired Australian producer and film and television actress. She was a well-known child star during the 1960s, best known as Susan Wells in the children's adventure series ''Adventures of the Seaspray'', but also had memorable guest appearances on ''Cop Shop'', ''Prisoner Cell Block H'' and ''A Country Practice'' in her later career. Haworth also became a successful television producer and was involved in the crime drama television series ''Phoenix'', ''Secrets'' and ''Janus'' during the early-to mid 1990s and is the co-owner of Kuranya Pictures, a production company based in Bilgola, New South Wales, with Bill Hughes. ''Funny Things Happen Down Under'' is a 1965 Australian-New Zealand musical film directed by Joe McCormick. It stars Olivia Newton-John, Ian Turpie and Howard Morrison, and is best remembered today for being Newton-John's first film. Plot The film centres around a barn that is used by a group of children as a meeting place for singing practice. When the owner of the property experiences financial difficulties and considers selling the barn, one of the children comes up with an idea to raise money. The children dye sheep on his property and market the coloured wool as a naturally occurring phenomenon. The coloured wool soon becomes sought after by buyers all over the world. However, when the coloured wool runs thin, the owner is still in danger of losing his barn. ''Taurus Rising'' is an Australian soap opera produced by the Reg Grundy Organisation for the Nine Network in 1982. Originally intended by the network to be a replacement for ''The Sullivans'', the series was one of a number of attempts to provide an Australian alternative to the glossy American supersoaps ''Dallas'' and ''Dynasty'' and featured two wealthy Sydney-based feuding families, the Brents and the Drysdales.
