Susan Osborn (writer)
Susan Osborn is an American author, editor, and a scholar of modern British and Irish literature and rhetoric and composition who teaches in the English department at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, on a part-time basis as a lecturer. She founded and serves as director of the Princeton Writing Center, a privately owned operation, unaffiliated with Princeton University. Biography Osborn's novel, ''Surviving the Wreck'', was published in 2001. In addition to her work at Princeton Writing Center, Osborn teaches fiction writing, business writing, and English at Rutgers University as a part-time lecturer. Earlier in her tenure at Rutgers, she served as research director and development coordinator for the New Jersey Center for Research on Writing. She has published several articles in the field of composition and rhetoric, including "Revision/Re-vision" in ''Rhetoric Review''. Elizabeth Bowen CBE (; 7 June 1899 – 22 February 1973) was an Irish-British novelist and short story writer notable for her books about the "big house" of Irish landed Protestants as well her fiction about life in wartime London. Life Elizabeth Dorothea Cole Bowen was born on 7 June 1899 at 15 Herbert Place in Dublin, daughter of barrister Henry Charles Cole Bowen (1862–1930), who succeeded his father as head of their Irish gentry family traced back to the late 1500s, of Welsh origin, and Florence Isabella Pomeroy (died 1912), daughter of Henry FitzGeorge Pomeroy Colley, of Mount Temple, Clontarf, Dublin, grandson of the 4th Viscount Harberton. ''Modern Fiction Studies'' is a peer-reviewed academic journal established in 1955 at Purdue University's Department of English, where it is still edited. It publishes general and themed issues on the topic of modernist and contemporary fiction using original research from literary scholars. Year Of Birth Missing (living People)
A year or annus is the orbital period of a planetary body, for example, the Earth, moving in its orbit around the Sun. Due to the Earth's axial tilt, the course of a year sees the passing of the seasons, marked by change in weather, the hours of daylight, and, consequently, vegetation and soil fertility.
