Susan Jane Belbin (born 20 October 1948) is a retired Scottish television director and producer whose work includes '' Bread'', ''Are You Being Served?'', ''Hi-de-Hi'', ''One Foot in the Grave'', '''Allo 'Allo'', ''It Ain't Half Hot Mum'', ''Only Fools and Horses'' and ''Jonathan Creek.'' Major David John Croft, (born David John Andrew Sharland; 7 September 1922 – 27 September 2011) was an English television comedy screenwriter, producer and director. He produced and wrote a string of BBC sitcoms with partners Jimmy Perry and Jeremy Lloyd, including '' Dad's Army'', '' Are You Being Served?'', '' It Ain't Half Hot Mum'', '' Hi-de-Hi!'' and '' 'Allo 'Allo!'' David Peter Renwick (; born 4 September 1951) is an English author, television writer, actor, director and executive producer, best known for creation of the sitcom ''One Foot in the Grave'' and the mystery series ''Jonathan Creek''. He was awarded the Writers Guild Ronnie Barker Award at the 2008 British Comedy Awards. Early life The son and only child of James George Renwick (born 1924) and Winifred May Renwick (née Smith) who were married in 1948, David Renwick was born and brought up in Luton, Bedfordshire, England. He was educated at Luton Grammar School, including its Sixth Form, a former state grammar school. The school became known as Luton Sixth Form College while he was still a pupil.
