Fat Wreck Chords (pronounced "Fat Records") is a San Francisco, California-based independent record label, focused on punk rock. It was started by NOFX lead singer Michael Burkett (better known as Fat Mike) in 1990. Rob Ramos
Strung Out is an American punk rock band from Simi Valley, California, formed in 1989. They are known mainly for their musical style, which fuses aspects of melodic punk rock, progressive rock and heavy metal to form their primary sound. They have released nine studio albums on Fat Wreck Chords as well as one Live album, 2 B-sides collections, a best-of, a box set and appeared on numerous compilations and skate/surf/dirt bike/offroading videos. Jim Cherry (August 2, 1971 – July 7, 2002) was an American musician, most famous for being the bassist in the punk rock band Strung Out. His other musical credits include the guitar player in the band Pulley, and bassist/vocalist in the band Zero Down. ''Suburban Teenage Wasteland Blues'' is the second album by American punk rock band, Strung Out with Fat Wreck Chords. The album was released on April 23, 1996. The title is an amalgamation of Bob Dylan's song "Subterranean Homesick Blues" and a phrase from the song "Baba O'Riley" by The Who. The album received positive reviews from critics and fans alike. Tilt is an American punk rock band from the East Bay (San Francisco Bay Area), East Bay, California, United States, formed in 1992. The group's debut studio album, ''Play Cell'', was released through Lookout Records in 1993. They would soon after get signed to Fat Wreck Chords, which the rest of its albums were released through.
