Suruga-Oyama Station
is a railway station on the Gotemba Line in the western part of the town of Oyama, Shizuoka, Japan, operated by Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central). Lines Suruga-Oyama Station is served by the Gotemba Line, and is located 24.6 kilometers from the official starting point of the line at . In addition to regular train service, a number of the Odakyu limited express '' Mt. Fuji'' services stop at this station. An island platform (also center platform, centre platform) is a station layout arrangement where a single platform is positioned between two tracks within a railway station, tram stop or transitway interchange. is a railroad tunnel in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan operated by JR Central’s Tōkaidō Main Line. This 7.8 km long tunnel shortened the trunk route between Tokyo and Kobe by omitting a detour round the mountains between Atami and Numazu.
