Surprise (2015 Film)
''Surprise'' is a low-budget 2015 Chinese fantasy comedy film directed by Show Joy. It is based on a Youku web series of the same name by Show Joy but with a different content. It had wide previews on December 12 and 13 and was released on December 18, 2015. Plot The movie tells the story of Wang Dachui (Bai Ke), a youth blessed with some magic powers who often dreams of being the chief demon of the Stone Ox Village. One day, he meets with a surprise, which happens to be the arrival of the Tang Sanzang (Chen Bolin) and his three disciples, and his life meets with an unexpected change. As for Tang Sanzang and his three disciples, while they find Wang Dachui boring beyond explanation, a magical story of love and killing is about to unravel for both parties. Eric Tsang Chi-wai (; born 14 April 1953) is a Hong Kong actor, film director, producer, and television host, best known for hosting the variety show ''Super Trio series'' on the Hong Kong television network TVB over 18 years. Sha Wujing () is one of the three disciples of the Buddhist pilgrim Tang Sanzang in the 16th century novel ''Journey to the West'' written by Wu Cheng'en in the Ming dynasty, although versions of his character predate the Ming novel. In the source novel, his background is the least developed of the pilgrims, and he contributes the least to their efforts. Zhu Bajie
Zhu Bajie (), also named Zhu Wuneng, is one of the three helpers of Tang Sanzang and a major character of the 16th century novel ''Journey to the West''. Zhu means " swine" and Bajie means " eight precepts". Buddhist scholars consider that both expressions are related to "Śīla pāramitā". In many English versions of the story, Zhu Bajie is called "Monk Pig", "Pig", "Piggy", or "Pigsy". Zhu Bajie is a complex and developed character in the novel. He looks like a terrible humanoid-pig monster, part human and part pig (reminiscent of Jimmy Squarefoot from Manx folklore), who often gets himself and his companions into trouble through his laziness, gluttony, and propensity for lusting after pretty women.
