Surna (Norway)
The Surna is a river in Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal counties in Norway. It runs from Rindal Municipality (in Trøndelag) to Surnadal Municipality (in Møre og Romsdal). The long river begins near Øvre Rindal at the confluence of the rivers Tiåa and Lomunda. The river then flows west and empties into the Surnadalsfjorden at the village of Surnadalsøra. Several smaller rivers flow into the Surna from the Trollheimen mountains to the south. The Foldsjøen and Gråsjøen reservoirs along the Folda River also flow into the Surna. The river is a good fishing river. The Brandåa, Gryta, and Kysinga hydroelectric power stations operate on tributaries of the river. Trollheimen
Trollheimen is a mountain range in Møre og Romsdal and Trøndelag counties in central Norway. The mountain range is part of the Scandinavian Mountains. Etymology The name ('the home of the trolls') was proposed by Håkon Løken and used by Trondhjems Turistforening in the 1880s, and is considered a "tourist name" (there was no single name for the entire area before). Trollheimen is now the common name in Norway for this mountain range. Topography and climate Trollheimen is often considered the most varied of all mountain ranges in Norway for several reasons. Fishing is the activity of trying to catch fish. Folda (Rindal)
The Folda (or Folla) is a river in Møre og Romsdal and Trøndelag counties in Norway. The river is part of the Surna watershed and flows into the Surna west-southwest of the village of Rindal in the municipality of Rindal in Trøndelag county. It has its source in the Trollheimen mountains on the border of the municipality of Surnadal in Møre og Romsdal county and the municipality of Oppdal in Trøndelag county. The river heads northwards and, for a time, it forms the border between Møre og Romsdal and Trøndelag counties. Two reservoirs lie along the course of the river: Lake Fold ( no, Foldsjø or ''Follsjø'') and Gray Lake ( no, Gråsjø). Gråsjøen
Gråsjøen is a lake/reservoir in the municipality of Surnadal in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway (and a very small part in the northeastern corner of the lake is in Rindal Municipality in Trøndelag county). The lake is located in the northern part of the Trollheimen mountain range. The lake is dammed and the water is used in the Gråsjø power station. The water flows out of the lake and into the lake Foldsjøen. Mount Snota lies just south of the lake. Foldsjøen is a reservoir located on the border of Møre og Romsdal and Trøndelag counties in Norway. It is located in the municipalities of Surnadal and Rindal. The lake is dammed from the Folda River and the water is used in the Trollheim power station.
