Suri Krishnamma
Suri Krishnamma (born 10 May 1961) is a British film director and writer best known for feature films ''A Man of No Importance (film), A Man of No Importance'', ''New Year's Day (2001 film), New Year's Day'' and ''Dark Tourist'' and television dramas ''A Respectable Trade'' and ''The Cazalets''. He has a number of festival awards, including 3 BAFTA nominations. Early life Born in Shanklin, Isle of Wight, Suri Krishnamma is the son of an English mother and Indian Father. His mother, a former head teacher at an Island comprehensive school, was a Labour Councillor and peace activist. Together with his father she helped with the organisation of the Isle of Wight Festivals of 1969 and 1970 with brothers Ronnie and Ray Foulk of Fiery Creations. Shanklin
Shanklin () is a seaside resort and civil parishes in England, civil parish on the Isle of Wight, England, located on Sandown Bay. Shanklin is the southernmost of three settlements which occupy the bay, and is close to Lake, Isle of Wight, Lake and Sandown. The sandy beach, its Old Village and a wooded ravine, Shanklin Chine, are its main attractions. The esplanade along the beach is occupied by hotels and restaurants for the most part, and is one of the most tourist-oriented parts of the town. London FrightFest Film Festival
FrightFest, also known as Arrow Video FrightFest is an annual film festival held in London and Glasgow. The festival holds three major events each year: a festival running five days over the UK late August Bank Holiday weekend, a Halloween event held in London in late October, and a festival in Glasgow held around February as part of the Glasgow Film Festival. The first event was held in London in 2000 and the first Glasgow festival was held in 2006. As its name indicates FrightFest primary focus is on the horror film genre, however, the event regularly features documentaries, science fiction and thriller films.
