Surb
Surbtal is a river valley region in the Canton of Aargau, Switzerland. Geography The ''Surbtal'' (literally ''Surb valley'') is situated parallel to the Limmat Valley (''Limmattal'') in the Baden and Zurzach districts of the Canton of Aargau in Switzerland. The valley is bounded by moraines of the Linth glacier; and in the east it passes over to the border of the Canton of Zürich respectively the drainage basin of the Wehn Valley (native German name: ''Wehntal''). Endingen (Swiss German: ) is a municipality in the district of Zurzach in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. In the 18th and 19th century, Endingen was one of few villages in which Swiss Jews were permitted to settle. Old buildings in Endingen have two doors – one for Jews and one for Christians. Endigen's synagogue and Jewish cemetery are listed as a heritage site of national significance. Unusually for Swiss villages, there is no Christian church. Döttingen, Aargau
Döttingen () is a municipality in the district of Zurzach in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. History Some items from the Neolithic period and two Roman-era estates have been discovered in Döttingen. The modern municipality of Döttingen is first mentioned in 1239 as ''Totingen''. Until the 19th Century it was also known as ''Grossdöttingen''. The monastery of Sankt Blasien Abbey in the Black Forest had large estates in Döttingen and possessed a manor house in the village. The Aare () or Aar () is a tributary of the High Rhine and the longest river that both rises and ends entirely within Switzerland.
