Supreme Leader Representation in Universities (organization) ( fa, نهاد نمایندگی رهبری در دانشگاهها) is an Iranian religious/cultural institute which has been formed by the decree of Iran's supreme leader, Seyyed Ali Khamenei. It was organized based on the final decision of the Supreme-Council of the Cultural Revolution in March 1993 in order to establish a new institute to fulfill the scriptures of supreme-leader's goals and according to its determined scopes/duties, which do specified obligations based on its written statute. Amongst the targets of this organization are to make religious-universities in order to explain Islamic-values and ... of students and academics. Supreme Council Of The Cultural Revolution
The Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution (SCCR; fa, شورای عالی انقلاب فرهنگی, shoraye a'ali enqelabe farhangi) is a conservative-dominated body based in Qom, set up at the time of Ayatollah Khomeini. Its decisions can only be overruled by Iran's Supreme Leader. Most of its members were appointed by Ali Khamenei, Khomeini's successor. The President of Iran is ex officio the chairman of the Council. History The Supreme Cultural Revolution Council that was formed in December 1984 was in fact continuation of the Cultural Revolution Headquarters. Mashregh News ( fa, مشرقنیوز, ) is a non-governmental news website in Iran. It has been described as "close to the security and intelligence organizations" but till now there have been no clear documents to prove claims. It is based in Tehran. Mashregh News often breaks stories of international interest. In 2010, Mashregh News announced the 19-1/2 year prison sentence given to dissident Canadian-Iranian blogger Hossein Derakhshan. Sayyid Ali Hosseini Khamenei ( fa, سید علی حسینی خامنهای, ; born 19 April 1939) is a Twelver Shia ''marja''' and the second and current Supreme Leader of Iran, in office since 1989.
