Superfinalen 2009
The 2009 Superfinalen was the first edition of Superfinalen, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Tippeligaen and Norwegian Cup competitions. It was played on 8 March 2009, at Telenor Arena in Bærum, between Stabæk and Vålerenga, winners of the 2008 Tippeligaen and 2008 Norwegian Football Cup respectively. A collaboration between the Football Association of Norway, Norsk Toppfotball, the incumbent league and cup champions, and the broadcaster TV 2, the match was seen as a test of the viability of a Super Cup in Norway. Modeled on the FA Community Shield, the Superfinalen is intended to be a season opener, with the net proceeds of each match going to charity. In 2009, these proceeds were donated to UNICEF. The game was a repeat of the 2008 Norwegian Football Cup Final, in which Vålerenga had defeated Stabæk 4–1. Stabæk Fotball
Stabæk Fotball is a Norwegian professional football club based in Bærum, a suburb of Oslo. It is part of the multi-sport organization Stabæk IF. Founded in 1912, the club's name is an archaic spelling of the suburban area Stabekk, from which it once originated. A super cup is a competition, usually but not exclusively in association football, which often forms the 'curtain raiser' to a season, and typically involves only two teams who have qualified through success in other competitions during the previous season. Captain (association Football)
The team captain of an association football team, sometimes known as the skipper, is a team member chosen to be the on-pitch leader of the team; they are often one of the older or more experienced members of the squad, or a player that can heavily influence a game or has good leadership qualities. Morten Skjønsberg
Morten Morisbak Skjønsberg (born 12 February 1983) is a Norwegian former footballer. As a player Skjønsberg was a versatile defender who played anywhere across the back line. In the early years of his career, he usually played at right-back, but was later converted to central defender. Career Club career Skjønsberg made his debut for Stabæk in 2002. By the end of the 2007 season, he had played 114 league games for the club. On 3 August 2008, he scored his first league goal for Stabæk, against Bodø/Glimt. On 10 January 2012 he transferred to Swedish club IFK Norrköping. He came back to Stabæk in 2014 and was an important part of the team until he retired after the 2017 season. Lars Fredrik Risp (born 15 December 1980) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a defender. He played professionally in Sweden, Italy, Turkey, Norway, Denmark, Bulgaria and Cyprus in a career that spanned between 1996 and 2013. Jon Knudsen (born 20 November 1974) is a Norwegian former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He is from August 2022, the goalkeeping coach for the Norway women's national team. Knudsen spent most of his playing career with Stabæk, where he won the league in 2008, and has also played for Lillestrøm, Strømsgodset, Skjetten, Kongsvinger, FC Midtjylland and Fredrikstad. Mohammed "Moa" Abdellaoue ( ar, محمد عبد اللاوي; born 23 October 1985) is a retired Norwegian footballer who played as a forward. Pálmi Rafn Pálmason (born 9 November 1984) is an Icelandic footballer who is currently playing for KR in the Icelandic Premier Division. Daigo Kobayashi
is a Japanese professional Association football, footballer who plays as a midfielder. Club career He started up his professional career at Tokyo Verdy where he won the 2004 Emperor's Cup and the 2005 Japanese Super Cup. In the same year, they were relegated from the J1 League, which marked his end in Tokyo. He signed for Omiya Ardija at the start of the 2006 season and quickly became their star player. Daniel Paul Gustav Nannskog (born 22 May 1974) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a striker for Högaborg, Malmö FF, Djurgården, Assyriska, Sylvia, Landskrona BoIS, Sichuan Guancheng and Stabæk IF, as well as for the Sweden national team.
