Super Óvalo Potosino
The Super Óvalo Potosino (formerly Autódromo Potosino) is a half-mile paved oval located near the city of San Luis Potosí in Mexico. The track was opened in 1983 as a road course. It was built by Promotodo, an enterprise owned by Michel Jourdain Sr., which organized the defunct Marlboro Cup, which was arguably the most important racing series in the country at that time. In 2005, after several years of not being used, the track was rebuilt as a half-mile oval to host NASCAR events. The track is used primarily by the NASCAR Corona Series and T4 Series. A few local events are also held. In 2009, due to the swine flu outbreak, they cancelled the race that was supposed to be held on May 3; the race was rescheduled for August 16 and was won by Jorge Goeters Jorge Goeters (born June 26, 1970) is a Mexican racecar driver. Rioverde, San Luis Potosí
Rioverde is a city and its surrounding municipality located in the south-central part of the state of San Luis Potosí, Mexico. It is the fifth-most populated city in the state, behind San Luis Potosí, Soledad de Graciano Sánchez, Ciudad Valles, and Matehuala. It is the agricultural, economic, turistic and demographic most important core in the Zona Media, one of the four geographical divisions of the state. The city had a 2005 census population of 49,183, while the municipality, of which it serves as municipal seat, had a population of 85,945 and an area extent of 3,109.71 km² (1,200.07 sq mi). NASCAR Mexico T4 Series
The NASCAR Mexico T4 Series was a semi-professional four-cylinder racing series in Mexico. The series was superseded in 2011 by NASCAR Stock V6 Series with six-cylinders cars. The T4 Series featured the largest grid in Mexican motor sports, with more than 30 teams running full-time and a few others doing a limited schedule. It is also notorious for the diversity of its drivers. As the series allows drivers to debut at age 15, several young Mexican talents are choosing the T4 Series to start their NASCAR careers. Swine influenza is an infection caused by any of several types of swine influenza viruses. Swine influenza virus (SIV) or swine-origin influenza virus (S-OIV) refers to any strain of the influenza family of viruses that is endemic in pigs.
