Super League Triathlon
Super League Triathlon is a league of nonstandard triathlon-based races held in the traditional off-season of the sport. Every race involves a swim, bike and run element but all contain additional rules in an aim to test athletic ability, increase viewer excitement and increase the popularity of triathlon more globally. Structure The league's season lasts from around September to April. Over the course of the season, Rounds are held at locations around the world; a Round will normally cover a weekend with multiple races occurring for both the men's and women's competition. Contracts Being a closed league, only athletes who have a contract with the league for the current season may compete, most athletes that are considered to be the current best in the world are invited to sign contracts with additional contracts won in preseason qualifier events and others awarded to local athletes. Triathlon
A triathlon is an endurance multisport race consisting of Swimming (sport), swimming, Cycle sport, cycling, and running over various distances. Triathletes compete for fastest overall completion time, racing each segment sequentially with the time transitioning between the disciplines included. The word is of Greek language, Greek origin, from τρεῖς or ''treis'' (three) and ἆθλος or ''athlos'' (competition). The sport originated in the late 1970s in Southern California as sports clubs and individuals developed the sport. Cassandre Beaugrand
Cassandre Beaugrand (born 23 May 1997 in Livry-Gargan) is a French triathlete, 2014 National Elite Champion, 2013 and 2014 National Youth Champion, 2013 European Team Relay Youth Champion and 2014 Vice Junior World Champion, and 2018 until 2020 World Team Relay Champion. From 2006 to 2011, Cassandre Beaugrand represented her hometown club ''Livry-Gargan Athlétisme'' and since then has been trained by her father Ludovic Beaugrand. Chris McCormack (triathlete)
Chris McCormack (born 4 April 1973), also known as Macca, is an Australian triathlete. McCormack is a two-time winner of the Ironman World Championship, winning the titles in 2007 and 2010. He is also the winner of the 1997 International Triathlon Union (ITU) World Cup Series, the 1997 Triathlon World Championships, and the 2012 Long Distance World Championships. Early life McCormack's early athletic career began in primary school where he participated in many team sports. He joined the school's soccer and rugby teams. Tayler Reid (born 2 October 1996) is a New Zealand triathlete who represented his country at the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast. Michelle Dillon
Michelle Dillon (born 24 May 1973 in Wembley, England) is a retired British triathlete. Dillon's first Olympic triathlon was at the 2000 Summer Olympics. She was one of the three British athletes, along with Sian Brice and Andrew Johns, not to finish the competition. Four years later, at the 2004 Summer Olympics, Dillon finished in sixth place with a time of 2:06:00.77. Non Stanford (born 8 January 1989) is a British former professional triathlete, representing Great Britain and Wales at international level. Stanford was the ITU (now World Triathlon) World Champion in 2013, part of the Great Britain world champion mixed relay team in 2012 and represented Team GB at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, where she finished fourth behind teammate and housemate Vicky Holland. Timothy Philip Don (born 14 January 1978 in Isleworth, London) is a triathlete from the United Kingdom. Career Don is the son of former Premier League referee Philip Don. He competed in the London Youth Games where he represented Hounslow in the triathlon. He competed at the first Olympic triathlon at the 2000 Summer Olympics. He took tenth place with a total time of 1hr 49min 28.85sec. In the second Olympic triathlon at the 2004 Summer Olympics he was placed eighteenth with a total time of 1hr 54min 42.13sec. João Pedro Lopes da Silva (born 15 May 1989) is a Portuguese professional triathlete. He was European U-23 Champion in 2008, 2010 and 2011, National Junior Champion in 2006 and 2007 and the National U-23 Champion in 2008. At the 2012 Summer Olympics Silva placed 9th thus becoming the most decorated male triathlete in Portuguese history. On 23 January 2013, Silva joined S.L. Benfica's triathlon team.
