SuperBike (magazine)
''SuperBike'' was a monthly British motorcycling magazine from Link House Publishing. A spin off from Custom Car magazine, which already ran monthly motorcycle tests, it shared the humour, style and nudes of its parent. Colin Gamm initially edited both titles. In addition to motorcycles, the magazine featured reviews of race bikes, dirt bikes, and others. It is now a completely digital motorcycle media platform, serving content to around half a million bikers a week. Features The magazine generally featured a mix of bike and product tests, some technical features, long term test bike reports as well as race features from WSB, BSB and MotoGP racing. ''SuperBike'' featured a centerfold photograph of a topless lady with a motorcycle. This feature was discontinued in the May 2009 issue. Sportbike
A sport bike (sports motorcycle, or sports bike) is a motorcycle designed and optimized for speed, acceleration, braking, and cornering on asphalt concrete race tracks and roads. They are mainly designed for performance at the expense of comfort, fuel economy, and storage in comparison with other motorcycles. Sport bikes can be and are typically equipped with fairings and a windscreen to deflect wind from the rider to improve aerodynamics. World Superbike
Superbike World Championship (also known as WorldSBK, SBK, World Superbike, WSB, or WSBK) is a silhouette-class road racing series based on heavily modified production motorcycles, also known as superbike racing. The championship was founded in . The Superbike World Championship consists of a series of rounds held on permanent racing facilities. Each round has two full length races and, from 2019, an additional ten-lap sprint race known as the Superpole race. The results of all three races are combined to determine two annual World Championships, one for riders and one for manufacturers. British Superbike Championship
The British Superbike Championship (BSB), currently known for sponsorship reasons as the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, is the leading road racing superbike championship in the United Kingdom, and was once widely acknowledged as the premier domestic superbike racing series in the world. The championship is managed and organised by MotorSport Vision, who also own many of the circuits the series meets at. The Series and Race Director is Stuart Higgs, with event marshals provided by the Racesafe Marshals Association. The series typically races over twelve rounds from April to October, with the series concluding in a three-round 'Showdown,' where the top six riders are awarded points based on their podium finishes from the previous nine rounds and then compete over three rounds and seven races for the title. MotoGP
Grand Prix motorcycle racing is the premier class of motorcycle road racing events held on road circuits sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM). Independent motorcycle racing events have been held since the start of the twentieth century and large national events were often given the title Grand Prix. The foundation of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme as the international governing body for motorcycle sport in 1949 provided the opportunity to coordinate rules and regulations in order that selected events could count towards official World Championships. It is the oldest established motorsport world championship. Loaded TV was a British television channel created as a spin-off from the popular men's magazine '' Loaded''. It was launched on 26 November 2012 and streamed live on the Loaded TV website. The channel had also previously broadcast during the evenings on Controversial TV.
