Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. "Black Sunshine" is a song initially featured on the album '' La Sexorcisto: Devil Music Volume One'' by White Zombie which was used as a promo single in 1992 and 1993. The song can also be found on Rob Zombie's '' Past, Present & Future'' and the greatest hits album ''The Best of Rob Zombie''. A spoken word section was recorded by Iggy Pop for the intro and was used in the song's final cut. Music and lyrics The song is about a racing car, a Ford Mustang, called "Black Sunshine." Iggy Pop recorded the spoken word vocal intro and outro of the song "Black Sunshine" as well as playing the character of a writer in the video shot for the song. He is singled out for special thanks in the liner notes of album. Catch 22 (band)
Catch 22 is an American ska punk band from East Brunswick Township, New Jersey. The band was formed in 1996 by guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Tomas Kalnoky, who left the band in 1998 and later formed Streetlight Manifesto. Founding members still in the band are vocalist/saxophonist Ryan Eldred, trumpeter Kevin Gunther and drummer Chris Greer. While largely inactive since 2012, the band performed at a spate of shows in 2015. Biography Catch 22 was formed by guitarist/vocalist Tomas Kalnoky and drummer Chris Greer who recruited trumpeter Kevin Gunther, who was working in a local record store.
