"Sunshine" is a song by English singer Gabrielle. It was written by Gabrielle and Jonathan Shorten for her third album, ''Rise'' (1999). Released as the album's lead single, the song became her sixth top-10 hit on the UK Singles Chart, peaking at number nine. In 2019, DJ Spoony together with Katie Chatburn and the Ignition Orchestra featuring Gabrielle recorded an orchestral version of the Wookie remix for the UK garage covers album '' Garage Classical''. Gabrielle (singer)
Louise Gabrielle Bobb (born 19 July 1969), known professionally as Gabrielle, is a British singer and songwriter. Bobb was born in Hackney, London. She released her debut single, "Dreams", in 1993, and it topped the UK Singles Chart the same year. Her other singles include " Going Nowhere", "Give Me a Little More Time", " Walk On By", and " If You Ever" — a duet with East 17. After a few quiescent years, Gabrielle made a comeback with "Rise", which became her second UK number one, in 2000. Her album of the same name reached the top spot on the UK Albums Chart, where it stayed for three weeks. Karl Clive Gordon, known by the stage name K-Gee, is a British DJ, producer, rapper and songwriter and former member of the Outlaw Posse. Gordon was brought up listening to reggae by his father and was inspired to become a DJ after listening to Grandmaster Flash's "The Message" and other early hip-hop tracks.
