Sunset Grill (film)
''Sunset Grill'' is a 1993 American neo-noir mystery film directed by Kevin Connor and starring Peter Weller as a private detective in Los Angeles. It co-stars Lori Singer and Stacy Keach. Plot Ryder Hart (Peter Weller) is a private investigator and former police officer who is down on his luck and drinks too much alcohol. His estranged wife Anita (Alexandra Paul) runs the Sunset Grill, a bar and restaurant. Anita is romantically involved with Jeff Carruthers (Michael Anderson, Jr.), a Los Angeles police detective who formerly worked with Hart. Carruthers introduces Hart to a wealthy businessman Harrison Shelgrove (Stacy Keach) and his alluring assistant Loren (Lori Singer). When someone close to them is murdered, Hart and Carruthers team up to try to solve the crime. In the course of their investigation, they uncover another mystery involving illegal immigrants from Mexico, including two who worked at the Sunset Grill. Kevin Connor (director)
Kevin Connor (born 14 July 1937) is an English film and television director based in Hollywood. Biography Connor was born in Kings Cross, London on 14 July 1937. He left school in 1953, first working on documentary films in Soho. Later, he became a sound editor on several British productions, working with directors such as Tony Richardson, Richard Attenborough, Richard Lester, Abraham Polonsky and Michael Cacoyannis. Connor worked as an editor on ''Oh! What a Lovely War'' in 1969, and was eventually given his directing break with ''From Beyond the Grave'' in 1974, thanks to producer Milton Subotsky of Amicus Productions. Peter Alan Koch (born January 23, 1962) is an American actor and a former American football player. Early life, family and education Peter Koch was born and raised in New Hyde Park, New York on Long Island. He attended New Hyde Park Memorial High School.
