Sunriver Resort
Sunriver Resort is a luxury resort and residential community in central Oregon, in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. The resort is located at the edge of the high desert, just east of the Cascade Range, in Sunriver, Oregon, Sunriver, south of Bend, Oregon, Bend and south-southeast of Portland, Oregon, Portland. Camp Abbot
Camp Abbot was a Military education and training, military training center in the Pacific Northwest, northwest United States, located in Central Oregon, central Oregon south of Bend, Oregon, Bend. Active for less than sixteen months, the United States Army, U.S. Army camp was used to train combat engineers during World War II and was named for Henry Larcom Abbot. A large part of site is now Sunriver Resort, and the rest has been incorporated into the Deschutes National Forest. The only remaining structure from Camp Abbot is the officers' mess hall; now part of the resort and known as the ''Great Hall'', it is used for large conferences and special events. Mount Bachelor Ski Area
Mount Bachelor ski resort (stylized as Mt. Bachelor) is a ski resort located in Central Oregon, approximately west of Bend, along Century Drive Highway. The ski area is on the northern side of Mount Bachelor, a stratovolcano rising atop a volcanic shield in the Cascade Range. Robert Trent Jones Jr
Robert Trent "Bobby" Jones Jr. (born July 24, 1939) is an American golf course architect. He is the son of golf course designer Robert Trent Jones and the brother of golf course designer Rees Jones. Background Jones was born in Montclair, New Jersey and graduated from Montclair High School in 1957. After attending Yale and graduate studies at Stanford University, he joined his father's firm, Robert Trent Jones Incorporated. He rose to become vice-president of the company and assumed control of west coast operations in 1962. In the 1960s, he began designing courses on his own and formed his own company in the early 1970s in Palo Alto, California. John Fought
John Fought III (born January 28, 1954) is an American golf course architect and professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour and Champions Tour. Amateur career Fought (rhymes with "boat") was born in Portland, Oregon. His grandmother started him playing golf at age 7. Fought attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, where he was a distinguished member of the golf team for four years; he helped the Cougars win four titles at the Cougar Classic, four WAC Championships, and 29 tournament titles overall during his college career. At the end of 1976 Fought was ranked the #6 amateur in the country by ''Golf Digest''. Fought was eventually ranked number one by ''Golf Digest'' and won the 1977 U.S. Amateur. The Tradition (known as the Regions Tradition for sponsorship reasons) is an event on the PGA Tour Champions. First staged in 1989, the PGA Tour recognizes the event as one of the five senior major golf championships. Unlike the U.S. Senior Open, Senior PGA Championship and Senior Open Championship, it is not recognized as a major by the European Senior Tour, and is not part of that tour's official schedule.
