Sunnybrooke Station
Sunnybrooke is a future Commuter rail in North America, commuter rail station operated by the Réseau de transport métropolitain (RTM) in the borough of Pierrefonds-Roxboro in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was served by the Exo (public transit), Exo Deux-Montagnes line. On December 31, 2020, the Deux-Montagnes line closed permanently in favour of REM service, which will operate along the same route. Rail service at the station will resume with the opening of the Deux-Montagnes branch of the REM, expected in the fourth quarter of 2024. History The station is located at 9670 Gouin Blvd. West, in Pierrefonds, Quebec. The station takes its name from the nearby Boulevard Sunnybrooke, which crosses the railroad at the exit of the station. Gouin Boulevard (officially in french: boulevard Gouin) is the longest street on the Island of Montreal, stretching across the north side of the island from Senneville in the west to Pointe-aux-Trembles in the east, where it intersects with Sherbrooke Street (Quebec Route 138). Overview Through most of its length, it parallels the Riviere des Prairies that separates Montreal from Laval (Île Jésus). Dollard-des-Ormeaux (; commonly referred to as D.D.O. or simply Dollard) is a predominantly English-speaking suburb of Montreal in southwestern Quebec, Canada. It is located on the Island of Montreal. The town was named after French martyr Adam Dollard des Ormeaux. The town was merged with the city of Montreal in 2002, and became part of the borough of Dollard-Des Ormeaux–Roxboro. When residents were later offered the option, they chose to leave the city of Montreal, and the town was reinstated as a separate entity in 2006. Deux-Montagnes Line
Deux-Montagnes or Two Mountains Line (also designated exo6 and formerly Red Line) was formerly a commuter railway line in Greater Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It was owned by Exo, the organization that operates public transport services across this region. The line was created in 1918 as a Canadian Northern Railway (CNoR) service. Canadian National Railway (CN) ran the line starting in 1923 following the merger of CNoR into CN. CN transferred the Deux-Montagnes Line to the Société de transport de la communauté urbaine de Montréal (STCUM) on July 1, 1982. The line was refurbished from 1992 to 1995.
