Sunila Abeysekera
Sunila Abeysekera (September 4 1952 – September 9, 2013) was a Sri Lankan human rights campaigner. She worked on women's rights in Sri Lanka and in the South Asia region for decades as an activist and scholar. Quitting a career as a singer, Abeysekera briefly joined the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna and then founded the Women and Media Collective in 1984. As head of the INFORM Human Rights Documentation Centre, she monitored human rights violations by all parties in the civil war. She received the United Nations Human Rights Award in 1999 and the Didi Nirmala Deshpande South Asian Peace and Justice Award in 2013. Early life Sunila was born on 4 September 1952, to Turin and Charles Abeysekera, a public servant and a leader of civil society in Sri Lanka. Sunila Devi (1 May 1963 – 7 July 2017) was an Indian social activist and politician. She was an executive member of an NGO called People's Association for Research and Development, Patna which is working on financial inclusion of women and on the issues of women empowerment through micro-finance activities particularly in Nawada district of Bihar. She was wife of Sheikhpura former MLA Sanjay Kumar Singh alias Munna Singh who died in 2010, who was two times Member of Bihar Legislative Assembly before her. Now her son represents Barbigha earlier as Candidate of Indian National Congress but in 2020 Elections he joined Janata Dal (United). Johan (Juho) Emil Sunila (16 August 1875 – 2 October 1936) was a Finnish politician from the Agrarian League, the managing director of the agrarian finance board, and Prime Minister of Finland in two cabinets. He was born in Liminka. After Santeri Alkio had withdrawn from the Parliament of Finland in 1922, Sunila became, in addition to Kyösti Kallio, the second of the Agrarian Party's strong members in the 1920s. Supported by the agrarian-background governor of the province of Viipuri and the President of Finland Lauri Kristian Relander, he supported productive agrarianism, where the attention of politics was concentrated mainly on making agrarianism more effective instead of widespread improvement of the countryside. Sunila's first cabinet lasted from December 1927 to December 1928 and his second cabinet lasted from March 1931 to December 1932. Suri/Soori known as Duniya Suri or Sukka Suri is an Indian movie director. He became known as Duniya Suri in the wake of the success of his debut movie '' Duniya'', for which he won the 2006–2007 Karnataka State Film Awards in the Best Screenplay category. Suri came to fame after the ''Duniya'' release, for its realistic style. The work brought a different dimension to Kannada movies. His second film ''Inthi Ninna Preethiya'' though critically acclaimed, performed poorly at the box office, while his next project ''Junglee'' was a greater critical and commercial success.
