Sunil Kant Munjal
Sunil Kant Munjal (born 14 December 1957) is an Indian businessman and the chairman of Hero Enterprise. He is also the founder of India's Serendipity Arts Festival, and is the chairman of the board of governors of The Doon School. He is the youngest son of Brijmohan Lall Munjal. The Doon School (informally Doon School or Doon) is a selective all-boys boarding school in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India, which was established in 1935. It was envisioned by Satish Ranjan Das, a lawyer from Calcutta, who prevised a school modelled on the British public school while remaining conscious of Indian ambitions and desires. The school admitted its first pupils on 10 September 1935, and formally opened on 27 October 1935, with Lord Willingdon presiding over the ceremony. The school's first headmaster was Arthur E. Foot, an English educationalist who had spent nine years as a science master at Eton College, England. Serendipity Arts Festival
Serendipity Arts Festival is an annual arts festival held in Panaji, Goa over a week in late December. It was founded in 2016 by Sunil Kant Munjal, chairman of Hero Enterprise. It is the only arts festival in the country whose programming spans multi-disciplinary fields such as art, theatre, music, literature, dance, food and crafts. The festival's inter-disciplinary approach has been reported in Indian media, along with its impact on "India's art scene". Admission to the festival is free, and in 2018 it received 450,000 visitors. For the 2019 edition, the festival took over 12 venues, including some of the heritage structures along the Mandovi river, and featured over 95 projects, including workshops, live performances and art exhibitions. Brijmohan Lall Munjal
Brijmohan Lall Munjal (1 July 1923 – 1 November 2015) was an Indian entrepreneur and the founder of Hero Group. Early life Munjal was born on 1 July 1923 in Kamalia, undivided India, which is located in the Toba Tek Singh District of present-day Punjab, Pakistan. He came to Amritsar from Kamalia in 1944 at the age of 20 with his three brothers, Dayanand, Satyanand and Om Prakash. Merchant and industrialist Once in Amritsar, Munjal and his brothers started a bicycle parts business. They later moved to Ludhiana, where in 1954, he founded Hero Cycles Limited and began making bicycle parts, starting with forks and then adding handles and other parts.
