Suneel Puranik also known as ''Sunil Puranik'' is an Indian film and tele-serial actor, director and producer who predominantly working in the Kannada Film and Television Industry. He was the President of Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy. Early life Suneel was born and brought up in Dharwad. He attended Junior Technical School, Hubli and Karnataka High School, Dharwad, obtained Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from K.H.K Institute, Dharwad and pursued professional training in film making from Adarsha Film Institute. Suneel married Suhasini in 1991 and has two sons Sagar Puranik (born 1992), and Sameer Puranik (born 2000). Career Suneel started his career in film industry as an actor in tele-serial. His first project was ''Venkataswami Pranaya Prasangagalu'' directed by M. S. Sathyu. Thereafter he assisted V. Somashekhar in directing movie named Ranaranga and Parashuram. Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy
Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy (English: Karnataka Film Academy) was formed by the Government of Karnataka in 2009 to promote film culture in Karnataka. The academy has taken up several projects to develop a healthy film culture in the state and adopted the motto of promoting 'Education in Cinema and Cinema in Education'. Activities Karnataka Chalanachitra Sanstha (Karnataka Movie Academy) has been conducting Film Appreciation Courses in different parts of the Karnataka state, in colleges and film societies. It has also promoted the establishment of district, institutional and campus film societies all over the state. Rajyotsava Prashasti
The Rajyotsava Prashasti or Rajyotsava Awards, the second highest civilian honor of the Karnataka state of India are conferred annually by the Karnataka Government on the occasion of the establishment of the state on 1 November celebrated as the Kannada Rajyotsava. The awards are presented in Bengaluru by the Chief Minister of Karnataka on 1 November of every year. Each award carries an amount of 100,000, a 20-gram gold medal and a citation. Kempe Gowda I, locally venerated as Nadaprabhu Kempe Gowda, or commonly known as Kempe Gowda, was a chieftain under the Vijayanagara Empire in early-modern India. He is famous for founding the present-day southern Indian city of Bangalore. Early life Kempe Gowda was born in the Yelahanka suburb of Bangalore in the Morasu Vokkaliga community to Kempananje Gowda, the ruler of Yelhanka for more than 70 years. The Morasu Vokkaligas were Vijayanagara vassals at Yelahanka and belonged to the Gowda community. ''Mangala Gowri Maduve'' was an Indian Kannada language television drama series. It aired on Colors Kannada and is directed by K.S. Ramji. It is the sequel of Putta Gowri Maduve, premiered on 24 December 2012. This is the longest-running Kannada television series and one of the longest-running Indian TV serials.
