"Sunday Morning" is a song by Canadian hip hop musician k-os. It was released in September 2006 as the second from his 2007 album '' Atlantis: Hymns for Disco''. The song peaked at number 19 on the Canadian Singles Chart making it k-os's 2nd highest charting song. The song made #5 on The MuchMusic Countdown. Sunday Morning was performed on The Late Show in early 2007. The song was also performed on the Vans Warped Tour 2007. Music video The music video consists of three parts. Part one shows k-os outside talking with a friend before a show. Suddenly a child comes by saying that the drummer for the performance is sick and cannot make it. K-os quickly finds a skilled drummer, Sebastien Grainger, close by playing on buckets in the street. When two girls try to go in with the drummer, he tells them to wait there. K-os
Kevin Brereton (born February 20, 1972), better known by his stage name k-os (; "chaos"), is a Canadian alternative rapper, singer, songwriter and producer. His given name may also be cited as Kheaven, a spelling he later adopted. The alias "k-os", spelled with a lower case "k", was intended to be less aggressive than the pseudonyms of other rappers whose names were all upper case, such as KRS-One. It is an acronym for " Knowledge of Self", although in a later interview he said that it originally stood for "Kevin's Original Sound". k-os' music incorporates a wide variety of music genres, including rap, funk, rock, and reggae. Alternative Hip Hop
Alternative hip hop (also known as alternative rap) is a subgenre of hip hop music that encompasses a wide range of styles that are not typically identified as mainstream. AllMusic defines it as comprising " hip hop groups that refuse to conform to any of the traditional stereotypes of rap, such as gangsta, bass, hardcore, and party rap. Flypaper (also known as a fly ribbon, fly strip, fly capture tape, or fly catcher) is a fly-killing device made of paper coated with a sweetly fragrant, but extremely sticky and sometimes poisonous substance that traps flies and other flying insects when they land upon it. Sebastien Alexandre Grainger (born 11 April 1979) is a Canadian singer and musician, best known as drummer and singer of the alternative rock duo Death from Above and the singer and guitarist for his band Sebastien Grainger and The Mountains.
